The complementary breakfast was good with eggs, potatoes, and fruit. The motel had a large atrium with a swimming pool. The pool wasn't warm enough to entice me, but looked enjoyable for the kids.

Book this hotel if the amenities outside of the room are more important than the amenities in the room. They have a very nice indoor public area that contains a swimming pool, hot tub, gazebo, and exercise room (upstairs), along with a beauty salon and golf pro shop. This makes it great for families or other groups that wish to gather and socialize outside of the motel room. The room itself was adequate, but the mattress could have been a bit more comfortable (I felt springs), and the pillows were small and lumpy. Two sinks were a nice touch, and the bathroom counters and faucets appeared to be new. It was a big room with refrigerator and microwave. High-speed Internet access in the room worked fine, but we had to borrow a cable from the front desk - no wi-fi. The hot breakfast buffet was great, and the service was very good. The building was showing its age, especially in the hallways and stairwells, but it was clean. Overall, this is a good motel if the bed is not the most important consideration for you.

We just returned from visiting friends and doing business in Roswell NM and stayed at the Best Western Sally Port Hotel, which Hotwire rated as a 3.5 star hotel. It was not even a one star hotel. The hotel was filthy to begin with. When we arrived at 9 PM on a Friday, our reservation and payment information had been messed up. The front desk clerk did not have the authority to handle anything, and there was no management on premises until Monday morning. When we went to complain to Aimee Morales, the front office manager, she was disinterested at first, and then abusive, blaming us for their finanical mixup. I asked to speak with the general manager, a nice young man named Jerrod, who indicated that he had only been the general manager for a couple of months, but was away on training much of that time. He apologized and comped us a dinner (since we had already paid for our rooms through Hotwire). We went to dinner at the hotel dining room at about 7:45. There was one waitress and one busperson. The waitress immediately informed us that the service would be slow because she "had 20 tickets" (from a training event they were conducting in their conference room, I think) to cash out. We did not see how this was our problem, and went to find the restaurant manager, Jim, who was in the bar, dressed very unprofessionally, and BSing with friends. His attitude was terrible, as well. The food was brought out undercooked, and when we tried to send it back, we were informed that they had sent the cooks home. We were, therefore, only able to eat part of our dinner. This was, however, after we sat for close to an HOUR waiting for our food. The wine order and even my sparkling water was wrong. They were "out of" dinner rolls, and, instead, brought a slice of plain white Wonder Bread (I'm not making this up, folks) and said that the white bread would have to take the place of the advertised rolls supposed to be served with dinner. When Jim was confronted, he simply said, "Well, the meal was comped anyway...what the (expletive) do you want ME to do? The cooks left." We were then blamed for coming in late, even though the restaurant staff had indicated they were open until 10 PM and we had arrived at 7:45. Of course, it wouldn't have been that late if we hadn't waited over an hour for our salads, much less anything else. Additionally, the advertised WiFi was not available. Ditto the advertised HBO. Ditto any hi-speed internet. The vending machines were empty and unkept. The hotel is performing false advertising. Alert for older travellers (or disabled ones, as I am). The 1st floor is so noisy from the bar that you cannot sleep. The second floor is only accessible by the filthy stairs, which had not been even vacuumed in many months, much less shampooed. There is no bell hop assistance, and no elevator. The TV in the room is old and the remote back was broken, forcing us to hold in the batteries to use it. The bed was comfortable, and the morning server, Sherry, was a delight and very helpful. The catering director was also quite nice, helping us find the owner's name when we requested it. However, the remainder of the staff were either incredibly rude, very undertrained, or, in most cases, both. DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!

This hotel was my family's favorite on a two week vacation to Colorado. It was clean, fast check-in, pool and spa were big, room was very spacious, quiet, and breakfast bar was out of this world! You get a lot for your dollar. Very family friendly! You won't be disappointed.

When we arrived we were told that the pool was closed for a party, I objected, but miraculously the party ended 5 hours early. The pool is in a cavelike central location on the property that is very underlit. The do supply towels, but they are small and seem to be very old. The room was very large and well furnished, we did not get the suite and there was plenty of room for all of us. The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. The place has areas that are falling apart, we stayed in the back portion where the entrance is shared with the conference center and there seemed to be locations on the carpet of that area that may have been crime scenes or really large spills!
