Hotel property is older, rooms were dated but clean and comfortable. They charged a nonrefundable deposit for our dogs. However, we were happy to pay it considering other hotels we checked didn't allow pets. The hotel is across the street from a railroad track and trains were frequent throughout the evening, although we didn't notice many throughout the night. A free continental breakfast is served in the lobby. Customer service was friendly and helpful. Nearest restaurant is Sonic Drive in, located just across the parking lot from the hotel.

The hotel is old and needs a facefilt. They appeared to be repainting some of the rooms. They grounds were dirty. They room was old and shabby. The trains were loud BUT it is a railroad town and the rail tracks are just across the street.... Front desk staff was very friendly. This town is a a bit rough we saw a lot of police activity around the area. We were told that the spa did not work. There is and enclosed pool we did not use. They have a nice breakfast in the morning.

Like blaring train horns? Smoke?
Guest name: mwp62, South Carolina
If you like blaring train horns through the night, and smoke seeping into your "non-smoking" room then this is the perfect hotel, otherwise stay elsewhere. Terrible price too.
It is awful!

We just stayed here in October. If I had been alone I would have asked for my money back and left. The bathroom had mildew and smelt damp or moldy. The furniture was worn and needs to be replaced. I kept my shoes on because the carpet did not seem very clean. We could hear a woman next door talking on her phone, she was not speaking very loudly either. We did not really notice the Ice machine noise right outside our door, with a train going by about once an hour. In general it was shabby and run down. I don't understand why it is still a Best Western.
But the staff were very helpful with directions and Dining suggestions.

This Motel was the worst motel I have ever seen.............It looks very nice on the web site and I thought it looks great and had an indoor pool just what we were looking for.
when we got there the manager was a little rude, not many people there clue #1,
after along drive of 16 hours what we needed was a warm shower no hot water clue #2
called down and switched rooms no cold water clue#3..........so we took a shower best we could hot is better than cold .getting ready for bed in our pjs my husband turns down the sheets and gross ugly bloody stains all over the bed , the other bed was full of black long hairs and just ugly..........so we pack our bags and I go down to the lobby no one there no body answers the phone I wait get my money back and get the ---- out of there
by the way we couldn't swim either the Health Dept had shut the pool down for contamination .
