We have just returned from a week at the Somerset. The hotel is fantastic and we have never experienced such incredible service before. The staff truly go that extra mile and I am more than impressed. My wife cannot believe how well we were treated by the Thai staff. As we left the hotel twice to go to Koh Samui and Chang Mai we came back and treated us like family coming home. I could not recommend this hotel enough for friendly staff and value for money. Yes there was some building noise (Minor inconvenience). Breakfast was great and all the facillities eg pool and sauna etc was top notch. Well done guys.

This is a great place for family although it's not located right in the heart of city but the hotel also offer free tuk tuk to Emporium and Prompong skytrain station. The room and bathroom is spacious with full kitchen equipment and all stand facilities. Actually we booked for 1 bedroom but this room type was fully booked that date so they upgraded us to 3 bedroom instead... the staff is also friendly and helpful.

Had a great stay here recently. Staff were super nice and could not do enough for me, Seemed like 5-star service all round but of course I was paying way less!
Fast check in. I was early (noon) and everything was ready for me. They had even upgraded me to a 2-bedroom suite.
This is a bigger place than I expected with 2 towers. Indoor and outdoor pools, both excellent. Overall the whole place and the service had a luxury feel to it.
A big plus was for the breakfast (included in rate) which was great with made to order omlettes etc.
A big minus was no free internet!
A little bit too far to walk to main street or BTS train station but the hotel's tuk-tuk service is good to get you up there free of charge in just a few minutes.
I think someone else noted the smell in the lobby... not sure what that is but it is bad. Only place in the hotel I noticed it though. Don't worry about it.

My husband and I stayed at Somerset Lake Point for 4D3N in an executive 1 bedroom Tower B apartment. Room was clean, good kitchen facility, big bathroom. However the space and furniture layout makes the whole room looked small and crammed. Especially the living and eating area of the room. Throughout the 4 days, morning breaskfast at The Terrace Cool Chilli were so-so, everyday same menu...kind of fed-up if we stay any longer. We tried the Cool Chilli Bar & Restaurant at Tower B during lunch and food was really delicious, drinks were good too. Reception staffs some were friendly some were not. I felt more at home at the restaurant as they greet us with smiling face. Tuk Tuk service for the 1st 2 days were not good, the man had a sour face and drove very very fast along the small roads. The last day, there was another tuk tuk man, who drove us safely to the asok station. Location wise, its quite out of the action place (no shopping arcades around), but its quiet if you want peace. If the location is at Soi 18, 22 it would be better. I won't be that bored then. Also, since its a bit far out from the action place, its better if to get on the skytrain. We took cab and it took us 1 hour to get to siam centre but if skytrain, 10 minutes from Asok station.
