I stayed at the Oxford Suites in Boise for a week long business trip. I travel about 6-8 times a year for work and I have to say this was one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at. I had a room at the end of the hall so it was slightly larger then the other rooms. It also was very quiet since I was only up against one other room. The bathroom was incredible! It was very open with an extremely nice stand-up shower and seperate soaking tub. They served a free hot breakfast in the morning. The hash browns were very yummy! I didn't use the pool, sauna and exercise room but I did check them out. All were very nice and well maintained. In the evenings, the hotel served free snacks (usually pasta, salad, chips) and two free drinks from the bar. From the hotel, I was able to walk to Wal-Mart. There were also several decent restaurants and a movie theater within walking distance. Overall, it was a pleasant stay!

Just a wonderful property with nicely appointed rooms and a caring staff. Fantastic bathroom, with granite and a separate toilet. Impeccably clean property and well maintained.
Breakfast was great -- much more than the typical "continental breakfast" of many hotels.
For the money, this hotel just can't be beat. I've stayed at other hotels nearby in the Spectrum area of Boise and this one is by far, the nicest.

We had a King room in this helpful and friendly hotel. The bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The furnishing included a lounge chair, desk with chair, refrigerator, microwave and a sink under the microwave. The bathroom was very large, which included a glass enclosed shower. Next to the shower was a wonderful deep soaker tub. A granite sink vanity is in this room. The toilet is in a small separate room. A business room with computers is located on the floor below the lobby. This floor also has an exercise room with plenty of equiptment. Plus there is a sauna room, steam room, bathroom and shower. In the evening this lower level has a reception that includes snacks and drinks. A great breakfast is also served in this room. The food choices incude cereal, fruit, yogurt, hot items, juices and coffee. I did not check the pool area. There is a small store behind the front desk that has all kinds of snacks, gifts and other items.

We usually stay at the Best Western Northwest Lodge because their family suite is a nice room for larger families. However, their pool was broken when we came through town on our way to western Idaho and when I called to check for our return trip, it still wasn't working. That wasn't going to fly for my 4 kids, so I looked around and booked a room at the Oxford Suites. We were pleasantly surprised at their holiday rate of $89/night for 2 Queens and a pull out couch. That included a nice wet bar with a sink, microwave and refrigerator. Since my 5 yr. old twins still can't sleep together without kicking each other, it was nice that there was also room on the floor for a twin air mattress. The hotel was beautiful and had an evening reception with 2 free cocktails/soft drinks per person. The only negatives we had was with timing. We didn't pull in until about 9 pm. and the pool closed at 10. We had to quickly change and still only got about a 1/2 hour in the pool. Most hotel pools are open until 11. When we travel it usually takes us awhile to get everyone to sleep so we sleep in a bit and it's hard to make the 9 am. cut off for breakfast. Other hotels keep their breakfast open until 10 am and this is helpful for us.
The only room flaw was the bathroom. It is beautifully done in granite tile and dark would with a separate clear glass shower, nice large tub and a toilet closet. However, the main door to the bathroom is a 2 door push through with no lock. Not a problem if you are using the toilet, because the toilet closet did lock. It is a problem if you are a woman showering in a clear glass shower with lots of little boys in your family! They can just push open the door and there you are! So, that was a little unnerving. Also, the tile floor was shiny and slick. They should have put a better non-slip tile on the bathroom floor.
Don't let any of this deter you though--we'll be going back. The hot breakfast was nice--eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, cereal, yogurt, juice, milk and coffee. The linens in the room were the most comfortable we've ever had (we don't stay in expensive places when there's 6 of us). Very nice place.
They do offer a larger suite for $179 with a separate room with a queen bed and it's own bath. We'll probably be booking that room next time just to give us a little more space and the option for my husband and myself to stay up later than the little ones.
