Every time I have a business in Yokohama area, I stay at this hotel. It's not fancy at all, but the location is pretty convenient. It's only a minute walk from Sakuragi-cho (JR station) and five minutes from Minato-Mirai (Metro station). It's close enough to the famous Chinatown (you can walk there within 15 minutes) and Yamashita-Koen park. The room is not big, but if you are lucky enough to have an ocean-side room, you can get a really nice bay view from the room. Another good thing is its free Internet service. Just plug in the LAN cable (I think you can borrow it at the reception) into your computer and you get a broadband connection. There are several restaurants in the same building (Italian, Japanese, Chinese, etc...) and a convenience store at the reception floor (5th floor). BTW, if you stay at Washington Hotel chains a lot, you may want to get their membership card (500 Yen for handling fee). If you spend 100,000 Yen total, they will cash back 10,000 Yen in return.

I was here for 6 nights--the single rooms are very small by American standards but the room was just fine. The hotel is clean, conveniently located near the Sakuragicho JR station (it's not a three minute walk, less than one minute), and the breakfast was generous. The breakfast buffet has both Asian and Western foods so there is something for everyone. The broadband was easy to use (plug and play) and free. I would stay here again without a doubt!

Modern hotel with great location very close to conference centre and three minutes walk from mainline station. Rooms small if average for Japan well equipped however with free broadband albeit LAN (free loan of cable) rather than wireless. Loads of places to eat in hotel building or nearby although breakfast buffet is OK and staff go out of their way to be helpful. Happily stay there again.
