This is an excellent DC hotel with great weekend rates. The only drawback, and a minor one, is that it is a seven block walk to the nearest Orange Line Metro station (Farragut West) and four blocks to the nearest Red Line Station (Dupont Circle). We stayed here the night of the 4th of July. Our room had a really nice layout. You enter into a sitting area with a couch, chair, desk, dresser, and a flat-screen TV. You then pass through an area with a kitchen on one side and the bathroom on the other. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, full stove and oven, dishwasher and a sink. At the window end of the room you have the bed with two very large closets flanking another TV. The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioner was a bit noisy, but maintained the temperature well. I'm fussy about my showers, and this was a great one with a high nozzle (I'm 6 ft tall) and plenty of pressure. This hotel would be great for a long term stay. Due to our limited stay, we didn't explore the hotel's ammenities, bar or restaurant. We did have breakfast at Cosi, just down the block on M Street. For a tasty, inexpensive breakfast, this is a winner. Parking is typically expensive for DC, it was $27 plus tax through the valet, which was the only method available on a holiday. We found the staff to be extremely helpful throughout our stay.
Bottom line, we would stay here again, especially long term since the kitchen is so nice.

I am a Regional sales manager and have stayed at a fair amount of hotels in the DC area. I picked the St. Gregory based on reviews. I booked the one bedroom suite w/double beds and stayed July 3rd. Three of us came from Philadelphia to see the PGA @ Congressional. We all said at the end of our visit that we would stay again for business or a nice weekend getaway.
The room was large, clean, with fabulous beds and bedding. The sofa pulled out for a third bed. The overall hotel was clean.
It was definetly a notch above.
The staff could not do more. Upon arrival they were expedient
in getting us into our room. The next morning while getting coffee we hands full the staff couldn’t be more helpful. We
valet parked the car and the next morning it was there by the
time we came down from our room. For happy hour there
was a jazz guitarist playing in the lobby bar.
Lastly, if you do not know DC the location of 20th and M St is perfect. There are bars and caf?’s within 2 blocks and a short Taxi Ride to downtown Georgetown.
So from one that travels, stay here and you will not be disappointed.

We had an awesome time. The hotel is beautiful, very clean and welcoming. Rooms are spacious (dbl/dbl suite) and I loved the decor. It is only a 15 minute ride from DCA airport ($20 taxi ride). The food in the restaurant was delicious and the happy hour over the top with the jazz and drink specials (loved the pomegranate mimosas) .
Staff: Robert, Abhi & Mamadu at the desk were very cordial and great ambassadors for DC. Very helpful with places to go and how to get there. The doormen Zack & Efrim were always polite and willing to get us a taxi. Tiffani & Dan helped me coordinate a bachelorette luncheon in the dining room. It went very well. Last but not least Marcello was great-he made us feel so special and obliged to make just about any drink we could think of.
The hotel is wonderful and close to Georgetown shopping just up M ST about 3 miles. There are restaurants, CVS's, cigar shops, palm reading and jazz clubs within walking distance. We had a an awesome stay.
I would definitely recommend the St. Gregory and will stay here again and again.
