Just got back after staying here for 2 weeks with our 17 year old daughter and 13 year old son. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quality food in evening and a very wide selection for breakfast. Excellent pool. Well stocked bar. Large, clean rooms. Very comfortable beds. Only gripe was the frequency of the courtesey bus service, eg there is a bus back to the hotel at 8.30pm and then nothing until the last one at 11.15pm. The alternative is to walk back (up a steep road/paths) which can be a problem when it's very hot or you have just eaten a large meal or get a very expensive taxi (or wait for public transport). However, the remote location had its advantages such as being very quiet at night.

We took notice of the great write ups and booked through expedia for our honeymoon - big mistake!
If you like soulless hotels that cater for package holidays then this is the place for you - it was noisy and the balconies are less than private. I'm aware Sorrento is pricey but this hotel is not value for money and certainly not romantic - took me back to package holidays with my parents in 'Costa wherever' in '70s.
We only stayed for bed and breakfast but the coffee was the worst I've tasted ....
One positive - the rooms are very clean.

The grand hotel aminta is the perfect hotel for a chilled out holiday. The hotel is immaculate and the staff are very helpful. The pool is a good size and there all plenty of sunbeds to hire or deckchairs to sunbathe. There is a pool bar open all day and night.
Aminta is set near the top of the hills but it is a beautiful area and the scenery is breathtaking. The hotel provide a very efficient bus service to and from the town and the times are ideal for what you want to do whether it be eating, shopping or just wandering around the town.
The rooms are very spacious and we had a great sea view with french balcony. The hotel is very clean and the bathrooms are big. The prices in the hotel are very reasonable too and the food is good.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I will definitely be going back to stay there again.

We have just spent a week at the Hotel Aminta and could not fault it or the staff in any way. This was our first tri[ to Italy and we plan to return to Sorrento and the Aminta again. The location is perfect with a rresonable walk (15 minutes there and 20 back) in to the centre or use the free bus. Food menu was very varied and to a high standard with the right size portions. All staff were extremely polite, friendly and helpful, a credit to both themselves and the hotel. Thanks to the Aminta for helping us to have a very enjoyable holiday.

I spent several nights here on my recent trip to Italy. The hotel room was spotless, spacious and comfortable.
You can start or end your day by the pool, enjoying the scenery, with the an outdoor bar nearby, serving drinks.
The full breakfast that came with our room was a great way to start the day. The staff was very friendly.
We had rented a car for the week and this was a great home base from which to travel the coast. What I really enjoyed was that it was just out of the real hustle and bustle of Sorrento. Downtown Sorrento was just a short bus-ride or hike away, with plenty of shops and restaurants to explore in the evenings.
I was very pleased with our stay at the Aminta!
