We were looking for an inexpensive hotel in this particular area, for the weekend. The Emeraude Lodge d'Espagne is not a fancy hotel, it is two stars, the room was just big enough for the beds, nightable, desk and open closet, with a very utilitarian bathroom as well, (shower, no bath).
We felt we got a good deal for what we paid. It was simple, but it was clean, neat, the water was hot, the beds were comfortable.
More importantly, the entire staff was wonderful. We had special needs, and they were very much taken into account. Whoever was at the reception desk knew of our needs, and made sure to help us, with a big smile. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable and things worked as we needed.
I recommend this hotel highly.

I booked this hotel from my TravelAgent. It was good price 380 euto for 2 person and for 4 nights. Hotels is 2* but its location is very good - everything is near, GrandBulvals are very nice place, there you could have a meal if you are want to eat till 3 a.m. Metro is 2 min from the hotel.
We have upper-floor room - it was small, but nice if you need only sleap at the hotel. Carpets not very clean, shower...to small but better then in Timhotel Louvre.
Its good hotel for young couples and singles who want to discover the Paris. Quite and nice.

it was my second stay in Paris, and my main purpose was to find a hotel just for one night, good located and not expensive. Of course the room was not very large, but i think it's typical for such price-level in Paris. As for the bathroom it was simply perfect. the breakfast could be better, but in general it was fine. The only disadvantage of this hotel is that it's located in the courtyard, where the lonely girl would not feel herself safety in the evening.

We arrived very early at the hotel after an overnight from South Africa and expected to be turned away. Instead the staff were terrific and very helpful after we tried our best to stammer out a few french words. The day and night shift staff were welcoming and went out of their way to help us with places of interest - including the wonderful and offbeat Chartier restaurant just around the corner.
The hotel is neat, close to everything - about 20 mins walk to the river and 2 minutes to the Metro (Grande Boulevards). Of course the best part of the hotel was our room - the loft with views over the rooftops of Paris - a wonderful way to wake up each day!
Easy to find, neat and tidy and friendly staff - what more do you want for the price!

Family from Finland

We are a family with 3 kids ( 12- 16 years ) and stayed in two separate rooms in Hotel D'Espagne. Both rooms were small, but neat, comfortable & clean. Staff was polite and we got all the help we needed. Hotel location is great on a quiet street, but shops , metro station and restaurants are only few minutes walking distance away. For us hotel was merely a place to have a rest after a long day sightseeing in Paris. If you are looking for luxury lobby bars and night clubs, this is not your hotel.
