I recently stayed at hotel Suisse and booked a room for me and my girlfriend. I reserved a double room for two persons. When I arrived at the hotel they informed me that they only had a reservation for one person. The room was also only for one person. Even after I produced the reservation confirmation for a double room for two people, they still charged me an additional 55 Swiss Francs. To add insult to injury, they made both of us stay in an extremely small room (designed for one person, I live in Europe I know what to normally expect). The frontdesk help was extremely rude and did not seem interested in helping resolve the issue. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone travelling with more than one person. For the additional charge you can stay at a better hotel. The location is next to the train station, but everything worth seeing is on the other side of the river.

Altogether a pleasant experience. The room (decorated in rather startlingly bright colours) was a fair size, the bathroom was enormous, brand new and spotless, and the bed was Nirvana. King size, with the softest, most luxurious mattress and pillows I've ever encountered in a hotel. Our room had windows overlooking the main street in front of the station, but was surprisingly quiet at night, even with the windows open. Only complaint about the breakfast is that you get your coffee from a high-tech machine, which is time consuming and doesn't necessarily produce a good balance of coffee and milk if you don't know what you're doing. I prefer the old fashioned hotel style where you help yourself to food but the server brings you your coffee.
One funny experience. The bed, in good Germanic fashion, had no top sheet, only a duvet (a nice, light, summer-weight duvet, but still a duvet). I find any kind of duvet too hot on a summer night. Usually when I encounter this set-up, I just take the duvet out of its cover and use the cover as a sheet, but this time my husband convinced me that in a hotel this posh, I should just go ask them for a sheet. The front desk clerk was speaking to another customer in good English when I went down, so I asked him in English if I could please have a sheet for the bed. He looked utterly horrified: "a SHEET?" I switched into (mediocre) French and repeated the request. He still looked unconvinced, but asked me for my room number and said he'd try. A few minutes later, he appeared at our door bearing a nice, fresh top sheet. "Is this what you wanted?" he asked, still looking doubtful as all get out. I thanked him profusely, and explained (in English, slowly, with accompanying gestures of covering and uncovering myself) that I was too hot sleeping with a duvet and too cold without one. He finally broke into a smile and understood what I was on about. I'd really love to know what he first thought I was talking about when I said I wanted a "sheet" :).

Hotels in Geneva can be very expensive and i was lucky to find such a nice hotel for a great price after shopping around. The hotel is located to the right ov the main cornavin station and is great if your carrying luggage. The room was very clean and had everything you could want although the bathroom is a little small and only had a shower but it wasn't a big problem. Breakfast was very nice and a decent variety and was available for a lonf period. The staff were excellent and had plent of good ideas to do in geneva and beyond. Overall a fantastic hotel in a very expensive city...

Hotel is near train station, very convenient. Nice continental breakfast. We arrived at 10:00AM and they let us check in immediately, which was great after an overnight flight! Room was large and clean. Hotel staff was very helpful with directions and dinner recommendations.
