The hotel location is fantastic for a Downtown Dublin trip. Easy to get to via the buses and the price is hard to beat for location. The rooms were nice and upscale and would definately satisfy an American's taste. Had to get used to how they do electricity in Ireland though and the figuring out of the baths were a 'tad' interesting. Overall, nice hotel.

I have just got back from Dublin after staying at o'callaghan hotel stephens green and must say the staff were really nice and helpful nothing was too much trouble for them especially the manager Dara . A lovley person Who even brought the luggage to our room because the porter was busy. We had a really nice meal in the pie bistro and once again couldnt fault the meal or the service. I will definitely go back again when I visit Dublin

Undoubtedly a great location, but some rooms at the front do suffer from traffic noise. Rooms at the back are quieter but without views.
Read that a refurbishment program is to be started soon and this is well overdue if the condition of our room was anything to go by.
Decor, furniture and the bathroom were all old and scuffed. Several appliances were kept together by tape and there were holes in the bedclothes.
The room was spacious, but not very well cleaned.
Reception staff were mixed , mainly friendly but inefficient judging by queues at checkout. There were several other customers complaining about the condition of their rooms when we were there too.
Hotel restaurant prices are high and there are so many places to eat nearby that we gave the hotel restaurant a wide berth.
This hotel is expensive and not what I would choose for anything other than business .It is definitely not worthy of a 4 star rating. Travel Lodges seem to have a more efficient maintenance programme
Dublin is expensive and this hotel seems to be all about location. St Stephens Green is definitely a good base for exploring Dublin, but think I will pick another hotel in the area next time.
Notice that the hotel management has started to reply to reviews posted here.
Hope this means that there is a growing awareness of the hotel's shortfalls and lack of attention to detail . Just wish that their Customer Relations would learn to spell ......

Hotel was a great location by the park, obviously the posh part of Dublin. The staff were very nice - rooms were ok but the mini bar was empty and there was no soft light summer duvet, scratchy woolen sheets. Dublin was very nice but we have never seen so many shops in a such a small area!
If you want some recommendations then Lemon for lunch on Sth William Street, a restaurant called Sadlers Room which served the most amazing seafood.
Dublin is a great city especially if you want to shop!
