Never met anybody so rude cheeky staff. Upon request they were just smiling and treating me as the most moron person in the world. Cannot accept this from service people.
The worst is that food there is terrible, they serve you so small amount of bad food and come with such a high bill/check I could not believe it.. I am sure noboby is willing to pay 30? for the quality and amount of food of a ham sandwich just served on a plate...
Never ever more there!

Stylish, but too expensive even if it has a strategic location

The hotel it is located in the Corso Como area where most of the famous bar and discos are.
It is presented as a modern and stylish hotel, which is true but compared to many others I have been to in Milan is way too expensive.
Rooms are nice, done in modern style, there is wireless internet but according to me ? 290 a night is way too expensive even if you are in Milan in one of the most appealing area.
In front of the hotel there is the metro enad the train station.

I've struggled to find a good hotel in Milan, and after three days I cannot consider Hotel Tocq the answer.
From the entrance to the restaurant to the rooms, it has a tired and charmless feel. It all functions decently enough, but not one thing goes far enough to warm me to it and quite a few left me cold.
Service is pretty friendly and pretty useless: the water pressure in my room was too low for the shower and they were slow and disinterested in offering solutions; I returned from breakfast to find a cleaner had parked a bucket of ammonia in my room, and s/he didn't return in the ten minutes it took for me to brush my teeth, gather my stuff and leave for the day; the mini-bar wasn't restocked during the day and come 6pm they couldn't get anyone to restock it. These are among other quibbles.
The coffee at breakfast relies entirely on its caffeine to inspire. Who offers several kinds of tinned fruit at breakfast any more? Who charges ?18 for 4 hours' wifi?
I preferred the AC Milano hotel to this. But the search continues...

I stayed at the Una Tocq for three days with my wife while on a long trip of Italy. It was clean, affordable and the staff was nice. But for tourists it's a bit out of the way. There are lots of restaurants and the famous Corso Como nearby, but the main tourist attractions are kind of far. No complaints about the hotel, however.

I landed here during fashion week as my overappreciated colleagues mistook one UNA for another. The room was tiny, worn, and noisy (you've got a pub and disco next door). Dining room/breakfast was forgettable. Unless you need proximity to central station or nightclubs, don't go here. Go straight to UNA Cusani: it'll be like upgrading from one star to five stars for the same money and a better location.
