The location was ok for peruvian standards. I mean you can't really escape the noise. But I was well prepared for that already. So that wasn't an issue for me. However, the furniture is very outdated I felt like back in the 70s. The bathroom shower was licking the very first night. There wasn't any hot water either when we arrived. They did fix it when we complaint about it. Also, the front desk wasn't really that helpful with directions or anyhting like that. The cleaning ladies did not come in everyday only every other day. We paid about $65 a night. But honestly I would rather go to a nicer hotel close to Larcomar and pay a bit more for a better room.

Other reviews are accurate. The area of town is good to walk around, find places to eat, do shopping, etc. It feels very safe.
The rooms are a little dated but spacious for sure. The street the hotel is in is noisy so make sure you get a room that faces the back of the building, not the front. I have stayed here twice in 3 weeks and stayed towards the front and towards the back. The room facing the back was way quieter than the room facing the front.
Also, one of those times I stayed on the 14th floor which only has one elevator that gets to that floor. If you cannot do staircase (e.g., stroller, etc.), make sure you get floor or 13 or less. Also, right above my room was a utility room of some sort and one day there was some work going on there EARLY that woke me up and kept me up.
The Internet connection in the room (they provide the LAN cable) was reliable and fast. The best in my travels in Peru.
Feel cheated

I booked this hotel trough hotels.com (btw, I called today to complain about this experience and waited on the line for 50 minutes and no one answered my call!).
Supposedly I booked this four stars hotel. I arrived to the hotel at 1:30 AM. They took me to another building, half a block from the hotel. It was theirs apart hotel building(I purchased two nights at the hotel) . There they have guests rooms (that are like a two stars hotel room or even less if it is in the USA) and at the same building they have rented offices!! Upstairs my room there was an IT systems company or something related according to what I heard on their conversations made at my room's door! That office should be small because the employees choose to have some of their work related phone calls at my room's door using celphones ! They started at 7:40 AM. But before that they moved furniture since 7Am, both on Sunday’s and Monday’s mornings.
I couldn't relax or sleep while there, so stay away from that place. Avoid being cheated like me.

This hotel's location is second to none. It is located in a rather small street of the busy Miraflores district of Lima. Unfortunately, just about all of Lima is noisy, with taxi and car horns going off at all hours of the day. Therefore, if you are looking for peace and quiet, this would not be the ideal location. As a matter of fact, few hotels in Lima are truly "sound-proof".
The hotel's location makes it ideal for shopping, dining, taking a stroll, or just mixing in with the locals. As a matter of fact, just about everything you might want is within a 10 block radius of the hotel, including the pacific ocean!
Having stayed at more luxurious hotels in Lima in the past, such as the Marriott, Country Club, Delfines and Pardo Hotels, we found this hotel comparable in many ways, and at less than half the cost we had more money left to spend on fun things to do.
Traveling with two infants, our main concern was safety. We felt safe at this hotel. We really felt no need to venture far, but when we did, taxis were plentiful and rather inexpensive.
The only complaint we had was that the room where we stayed was advertised as a "One Room Apartment King Or Two Queen Beds". Actually, we got a room with two single beds, which we pushed together to make one larger bed.
