Just got back from 4 night stay.We paid extra for sea view -well worth the money!Breakfast buffet was great, nice contemporary rooms and good bathroom.Only downside was drainy smell in some of the public areas,particularly the stairwells.Also, indoor pool and the gym were closed for repair which was disappointing as it was too cool for the outdoor pool.Altogether a nice laid back hotel and wouldn't hesitate to recommend, but do pay the supplement for the view!

Angepriesen als 4 Sterne-Hotel waren ich und meine Frau doch sehr enttäuscht. Der Innenpool war während unseres Aufenthaltes gesperrt. In der Hotel-Halle roch es sehr streng. Die Zimmer waren sauber. Der Fernseher hatte nur einen deutschen Kanal (Verkaufssender!!). Das Frühstück war alles andere als ausgewogen und wirklich nicht vielfälltig. Zudem brannte Nachts bis 1 Uhr das Licht auf dem Balkon und erhellt bis dahin auch das gesammte Zimmer. Nach Auskunft der Rezeption sei dass so gewünscht und ließe sich nicht ändern.

Having been booked into this hotel as part of a package, we had been a little alarmed by some of the reviews on this page, though struck by the extent to which they were polarised (some saying very good, others suggesting awful). I think we were somewhere in the middle. We had been led to believe by our travel compnay that this hotel was near to the centre of Palma, which is plainly not true, though the views are undoubtedly good and a cheap number 3 bus (1euro 20) from near to the base of the funicular (which was working throughout!) gets one to the centre in about 15 minutes. The service we received was almost entirely friendly and helpful (exceptionally so in the restaurant and at the front desk); one very minor hiccup was probably more to do with difference of language. We found that a smile and the odd "gracias" always went down well. The main downsides: the outside areas, though not dirty when we were there, were a bit shabby and, frankly, though there is a reasonably good choice for meals, this is what you expect if there is buffet service. Overall, we thought the food was not quite up to the culiniary standard one would normally see in four star hotel. However, the desserts deserve a special mention - really yummy! - and the grilled meat, fish, etc, though not exactly exciting, were perfectly palatable. The pastries for breakfast were good too. All in all, we enjoyed our holiday and this was a hotel that gradually grew on us.

This is our second time returning to this hotel, which we initially stayed in with extended family upon their recommendation. The view from the hotel towards the marina is breathtaking and you can see cruise liners coming into port while sat on your balcony, whilst also enjoying a magnificent vantage point for Palma Cathedral. Location is excellent, 15 minutes from Palma Airport and about a 5 minute taxi drive into the centre, although far enough out for it to be peaceful and undisturbed by busy city traffic and holidaymakers. Not great for the less able, as if you are walking it is up a large hill (great for views though) and there are lots of steps around. However, a 5 minute walk takes you to the new Porto Pi shopping centre, where you can catch the bus for 2 Euros to Illetas beach, as we did each day. It is recommended by hotel staff and is in a peaceful and idyllic setting about 10 minutes away. The rooms are well appointed and clean, and most are overlooking the marina (please, please check before you book as it really is worth paying extra for and the other rooms have awful views of the road). One thing to watch out for is booking a double room which we paid extra for and initially didn't get on arrival. It seems doubles and twins mean the same here, although upon requesting a room change it was actioned immediately with no problems. Outside terrace is modern and comfortable as is the pool area. You could easily sit outside and lose track of time watching the ships come in and out at night... All in all an excellent hotel with excellent service for a very reasonable price if you are prepared to look around a bit. We will definately be returning and it is very worthy of its four star rating.

Alucino cuando leo que este hotel es pésimo. Yo he estado una semana en mitad de agosto de 2007 y el hotel de pésimo nada. Es un 4 estrellas bueno. La situación buena, al final del paseo, con unas vistas al puerto marítimo espectaculares. El hotel está un poco en alto, pero tiene un cunicular, un tipo de ascensor, que funciona las 24h y te sube y te baja todas las veces que quieras sin coste. El restaurante es buffet con show cooking tanto desayunos como cenas y la comida es de calidad. El restaurante tienes unas vistas al puerto muy bonitas. El hotel también tiene 1 piscina exterior con vistas al puerto, como la terraza para tomar cócteles. Además, también tiene una piscina interior con jacuzzi y gimnasio. Las habitaciones amplias y con una terraza muy romántica (con sillas y mesa de mimbre). Y quiero señalar un detalle que me gustó bastante, como es el poder elegir aire acondicionado y el ventilador de techo. En la hab. Tienes las 2 cosas y tú lo pones a tu antojo. Además, el personal muy atento, nos hizo los trámites para alquilar un coche, encargamos las famosas ensaimadas de la mejor pastelería a través de ellos e incluso las sobrasadas de pata negra... la verdad es que se lo curran para tener a todos sus clientes contentos.
