The Windmill Village hotel is located in the heart of the midlands giving close access to most financial, sporting and tourist destinations and close to Britains second major city, Birmingham.
The hotel is set in its own grounds in the village of Allesley and has its own 18 hole golf course which gives a relaxing backdrop for guests to enjoy from their bedrooms or whilst enjoying a meal and drink in the bar and restaurant.
The hotel is also close to all the midlands major road, rail and airport networks so making it easy to travel in and out to most destinations. Additionally, we are close to many famous tourist attractions from major sporting fixture such as International athletics at the National Indoor Arena, cricket at Edgbaston (home of Warwickshire Cricket Club), football at Villa Park and Championship golf at the Belfry (home to the Ryder Cup Competition), together with historic castles and Shakespeares Stratford upon Avon.
The hotel dates back to 1640 when it was a busy coaching Inn. Today the hotel has 99 en-suite bathrooms in a mixture of hotel and cottage style accommodation many with a view overlooking the golf course and gardens. Some rooms have their own balcony allowing guests to enjoy sitting out in the nice weather. All rooms have a colour TV with satellite channels, direct dial phones, internet connection, trouser press, and tea and coffee making facilities.
The lively cellar bar, restored from the cellars in the original coaching house has evening entertainment, hosting live events on most nights with a late bar licence.
The par 70, 18 hole golf course is available to all guests at an additional charge and we can provide tuition, clubs and shoes if required. It is helpful to book in advance in order to secure a convenient time.
