We stayed here for four nights and found the hotel to be clean, modern and comfortable. As previously mentioned it is situated away from the centre of town and necessitated a 15 minute trip on the Metro to the Ramblas and port areas. We found the Breakfast to be fine and the room plenty big enough. The hotel is a five minute walk from Sants station which made it easy for connections to the airport and places further away such as Montserrat and Sitges. The staff were friendly and efficient which made a pleasent stay.
Wonderful little hotel - despite rock hard bed

We found a great rate on this room (80 Euros a night) using booking.com.
The hotel is located very close to Barcelona Sants (the main train station). It was a perfect location for us. We enjoy walking, and were able to walk to all of the tourist sites in Barcelona (it can take up to an hour for those who don't like to walk as much).
The room was clean and comfortable with the exception of the rock hard bed. Even with the hard bed, we were not disappointed at all. The bathroom was large and clean. The staff were friendly. The welcome drink was a nice touch. There are computers with Internet in the lobby (free of charge). There is an exercise room on the top floor and a jacuzzi on the roof (although the jacuzzi wasn't working the one night that we wanted to use it).
The breakfast at this hotel is second to none. They go way above and beyond any of the other hotels that we have visited. There is a wide assortment of yoghurts, cheese, meats, breads, cereals, vegetables, fruits, hot foods, cakes/croissants/doughnuts, juices, coffees and more. It was really great.
We would recommend this hotel to tourists, couples, and business people.

I got a good deal for 3 nights but would had preferred to pay more for a nicer hotel.
When I got to my room it was so small that there was not even space to put a chair to use the desk to work. I requested a solution and they were very fast assigning me another room with more space and a chair!
Internet is fast but it has restrictions to access my work network. It’s the first time it happened to me. I could not use my email for 3 days… This is unacceptable.
First nigh there were no black out curtains meaning that I could not sleep with the light. I asked for a protection for the eyes and they were very efficient providing it.
A telephone in the corridor was always ringing and as the doors have no sound proof at all. It was a nightmare being waken up all the time.
In the morning I mentioned that the mini bar and the scale in the WC were not working.
Nothing was done. In the evening I mentioned again the mini bar not working. A made came and just plugged it in a different plug and it started working…. (No follow up at all)
Second night they put the black outs but the phone in the corridor was still ringing and worse than that there was a working area just outside the room and the room cleaners were talking very loud all morning. I had to go out and ask them to respect the silence.
Reception staff is nice and I did not try breakfast.
The location is not very central but this is not a problem at all as there are taxis all the time or you can even walk.

The TV and air conditioner did not work.
Both the shower head and water temperature were unstable. The frequent changes water temperature caused significant discomfort.
Great Hotel for a Pretty Good Price

The H10 Itaca Hotel is one of the most beautiful, price-minded hotel I've stayed at in Europe. Rooms are very modern, view is not bad at all, and staff is courteous though finding a English speaking worker can be difficult at times during the night.
For about $200 my party managed to get a room with a King sized bed. Bathroom was beautiful but did not have a lock on the door, which I found would be a little weird and a little uncomforting if one is no travelling with a BF, GF, or spouse. Noise from the street is not a problem though the location of the place isn't ideal (nearby attractions are a good deal away, must take cab).
Overall if you want a very romantic getaway with modern furnishing and courteous high end service, and isn't super expensive, this is the place to be!
