The hotel has fairly large rooms by Japan standards in this price range. The restaurant has very good western style food. It is about a 10 min walk from Shinagawa station, which can get you direct to many Shinkansen trains. This is the last stop of the Narita Express to the airport, so you can get there direct without switching trains, a big plus to jet lagged westerners. Internet access is good too,
Thisis my usual hotel when staing in Tokyo.

This hotel was far better than my expectations for a Tokyo hotel at this rate. It wasn't luxurious, but the food was very good, the room was clean and spacious enough (we had an upper-level Superior room, which even had a cool massage chair). I didn't know what to expect from this hotel, as there hadn't been any previous reviews and the hotel is not new. But my wife and I were pleased.
The best part about the hotel was the lovely adjacent park and big windows for seeing greenery (a luxury in tokyo). The staff were also very helpful throughout our 5-night stay.
Only complaints: TV was somewhat old, but adequate. The room was supposed to be on a corporate card, but they lost that info and I had to pay for it on my own card. No wireless internet in the room, but ethernet was reasonably fast. We didn't pay for breakfast coupons with our reservation, apparently, so breakfasts were about $22 per person.
We took the Airport Limousine there, which went directly from Narita to the hotel. It's about a 10 minute walk to the Shinigawa station (which is on the yamanote line, so it's very easy to get anywhere), but they have a free shuttle bus which comes ever 20 minutes at busy times... but the shuttle can be very crowded. We walked or took a 660 yen, 5-minute taxi.
