Overcharged, and not interested in resolving the dispute

A great location, comfortable hotel with great showers.
The hotel however overcharged us for 2 nights and despite various emails do not want anything to do with refunding these charges.
Because of this, I would strongly avoid dealing with them again.
Nice option is central location

Petit Palace on Arenal is in a very good location, even more so because the Calle Arenal was made into a pedestrian street last year. It is a very good shopping street. The rooms on the front have a view of the street and a small balcony. Rooms are in a modern style but pretty small, as is the tiny elevator. The lobby is also very small and narrow, and be warned there are some large travelling groups that stay at this hotel frequently so the lobby can be very backed up. Very spacious breakfast area downstairs, and internet is the lobby.

Good Central Choice for Families

We had stayed at 2 other Hi-Tech hotels and this was typical of the chain. The decor is stylish but this particular hotel was a bit more worn than the rest. The rooms were also somewhat smaller but acceptable. The bathroom is "open" to the bedroom so I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you are traveling with a close companion. We stayed in a family room that had a bunk bed. A perfect choice for a family.
Since the location is very central, you can walk out the front door and you are right in the middle of things. That being said, it is imperative to get a room facing the interior. We booked for a very very low rate so we certainly felt we got our money's worth. By the way, the hotel opens into a pedestrian area so if approaching by taxi, they have to drop you off about a block away.

Stylish rooms with laptop, flatscreen, bubblebath and steamshower. 5 min walk to the placa del sol.
Has no restaurant for those who needs it, otherwise perfect!

Stayed for 2 nights mid-November, playing approx €120 per night on hostelworld.
Despite the price we paid, we were given one of the cheaper interior rooms on the first floor and breakfast was not included. . It was absolutely freezing despite the heater being on full. We asked for another blanket but apparently there were none spare. The room was a very bizarre shape, long and narrow, with a very claustrophobic feel to it. All the wooden features were chipped and the shower leaked
The hotel wants so very much to be upmarket but it most definitely is not.
Although the location is good and the TV is decent, it is definitely not value for money.
