The Golden Leaf was ok but there were some problems.
The parking was stated on the booking website as free but when we got there it was an underground garage and you had to pay 4euros a day.
The room was ok and had a bed, TV, wardrobe, Minibar and bathroom so had all equipment necessary but it was very small. They knew we had a baby as he was on the booking and the room they gave us was very teeny and when we put his cot up there was no floor space at all!!
we were on the ground floor too and we had a lot of noise from the restaurant (where you coold sit outside) after about 9.00pm.
The hotel was quite old and i think it is past its best but it was a cheap bed for the night so we didnt moan.
The hotel is very close for the metro into munich about a 5-10 minute walk.
The restaurant (ludwigs)was very nice and serves traditional german dishes and beers. (not too expensive either)

Hi. I read all the reviews before choosing this hotel and I must confirm whar pepople wrote. It is cheap, quiet, confortable, very close to the Neuperlach Metro (5 or 6 minutes by foot). They are very professional and kind. English is fluently spoken. The room (we reserved a double) are not large but clean and quite confortable.
We just found what we expected and were so happy. We recommend it!!!!

We stayed at this hotel for two night during Oktoberfest. Front desk staff was very friendly - especially considering the time of year - and the room was comfortable. It took a little time to get into the heart of Munich but the commute wasn't too bad. Munich has a wonderful public transportation system. The hotel was close enough to get back to the hotel during the day and head out again. The Italian restaurant that was attached was decent. We'd recommend it.

We stayed in the Golden Leafe Perlach Allee Hof for New Year.
Concerning the price (Euro 43,00 for the double room), one has to say, that is is absolutely fine. The room was very small (app. 12m2), but as we were just staying for 1 night it wasn't a problem.
It is a bit out of the center, but easily reachable with public transport.
Would go there again!

Practically only hotel we could find a few weeks before leaving for the end of Oktoberfest, so was dubious. A few kilometres from the city centre, but only 3 minutes walk to the U and S-Bahn trains for easy access to the centre. Very quiet area, which was what was required. Not bad value really. Guess the other comment posted was just bad luck for the other hotel, as I found the Perlach Golden Leaf OK. Breakfast was only really poor point: limited selection - only one person clearing the tables and serving!
