I stayed at this hotel for a weekend break for my 21st birthday. It was beautiful. The location was excellent, I walked to all main sights from here. If you don't want to walk, there is a metro station very close by which has links to everywhere in Paris. With regards to people saying that there in no nightlife nearby, all you have to do is go down Rue Blanche down the side of the church behind this hotel. That road leads you to the Moulin Rouge and the Montmatre's nightlife. It's only a 10/15 minute walk. I stayed for 4 nights and I found the service excellent. Breakfast was excellent, thanks to this hotel, I now love Croissants. The room was spotless, the bathroom was brilliant. The bed was very comfortable. The only bad thing was occasionally you could hear the Metro running underneath the hotel but thats something I got used to. The staff here are very helpful, they gave me a European converter which i forgot and told me where the Hard Rock Cafe in Paris was. This hotel is a great find in the Opera district.

Ho alloggiato in un albergo diverso ogni volta che sono stato a Parigi per lavoro perché non me n'è mai piaciuto uno abbastanza da ritornarci la volta seguente. Credo d'averne trovato uno... Vi ho solo pernottato, ma ne ho ricevuto un'impressione complessiva molto favorevole. La camera era abbastanza grande, ma era una camera doppia adibita a singola. Credo che se ci alloggiassero due persone per un periodo di tempo più lungo, ci starebbero un po' stretti. Tanto la camera che il bagno erano puliti e moderni, cosa piuttosto insolita per un piccolo albergo a Parigi (per lo meno io non mi ci sono mai imbattuto). Quelli che si lamentano d'avere avuto difficoltà a trovare dove mangiare la sera, dovrebbero avventurarsi un po' più oltre verso il Boulevard Montparnasse o il Boulevard des Italiens (o anche la Bourse) dove troveranno numerosi locali dove consumare un buon pasto.

I have stayed in a different hotel every time I've been to Paris for work as I never liked one enough to return there the next time. I think I found one ... I only stayed one night but the overall impression was very good. The room was a decent size but it was a double room used for single occupancy. I think if 2 people had to stay there for a longer period of time it would be a bit cramped. Both bedroom and bathroom were clean and modern which is quite unusual for a small hotel in Paris (or I haven't come across them). People who complain about having problems finding food at night should wonder out a little further and go towards the Bd Montparnasse or Bd des Italiens (or even the Bourse) and you will find plenty of places to have a nice meal.

L'albergo si trova vicino alle Galeries Lafayette e a l'Opéra, ed è un vantaggio quando questi posti sono aperti; ma c'è pochissima scelta nei dintorni per quel che riguarda dove andare a pranzare, particolarmente la sera. La hall è stata rinnovata, come pure la sala da pranzo; ma gli ascensori e i corridoi, così come l'ingresso della camera, sono un po' troppo stretti. La camera stessa è piccola, ma ben arredata con colori coordinati. Il bagno era ristrutturato e ben illuminato. Tuttavia, il servizio di pulizia ha bisogno d'essere immediatamente migliorato. A parte il fatto che il personale di servizio non riforniva regolarmente gli articoli da toeletta, ciò che ci ha più infastidito è stato il fatto che abbiamo trovato della biancheria intima da uomo ad un lato del letto, sotto il letto ma non troppo in fondo. Questo ci ha lasciati a bocca aperta. Ne abbiamo informato la reception almeno 3 volte, ed abbiamo chiesto di parlare con un manager appena possibile. Ma con nostra grande delusione e costernazione, non solo non se ne sono occupati, ma si sono comportati come se ignorando i nostri messaggi, saremmo tranquillamente spariti anche noi. Non hanno fatto nessuno tentativo per soddisfare la nostra richiesta; forse hanno bisogno d'allenamento in servizio clientela. Non so se gli altri alberghi di questa catena sono uguali a questo, ma non consiglierei ad amici o colleghi d'alloggiare in un albergo come l'Helios Opera, e non ci ritornerei, finché la pulizia/mantenimento, e particolarmente il servizio clienti, non ricevono priorità.
