My friend and I chose this hotel as it was away from the sweltering heat of Madrid City Centre and provided an outdoor pool and spa.
I live in Madrid and had advised my English friend that the levels of customer service for a 4 star hotel may be typically lower than her expectations.
The facilities of the hotel are lovely but it is let down by an inconsistent standard of customer service. Some staff are excellent and helpful others lack the can do attitude of a 4 star establishment
Small inconsistencies such as on the saturday having towels bought to the pool and on the sunday being told by the lifeguard to climb the stairs into the spa to fetch them ourselves.Bar staff not being able to provide tap water in the heat of the day by the pool nor in the resturant in the evening with the waiter insisting we buy bottled water at 6euro for 500ml......room service order of pasta with cheese sauce turns out as pasta and pesto.....turned away from the resturant at 22:50 despite the kitchen closing at 23:00....being told I could not have a cup to make a tea in my room and should order it from room service (3euro charge)....
That said, as long as you don't expect a bells and whistles 4 star experience you will have a great time. This is a business hotel which needs to refine its service delivery for the weekend leisure market. 4 stars on the facilities 2/3 stars on the service.

Worst Family Hotel Ever stayed
Guest name: cookgeneva, Geneva
One of the worst family friendly hotels we have every stayed at. This hotel is not at all family friendly or visitor friendly.
1. They made us wait for 2 hours saturday morning for their scheduled van pick up which then was 50 minutes late. They are only 10 minutes from airport!.
2. Our first two rooms were completely dirty and bed had not been made up!
3. They then gave us two different rooms one of which had a faultly AC that they didnt fix until 2 days later despite constant complaints.
4. They were very rude to our children.
5. The spa personnel were even worse. they only let children swim from 2-4 and even if no one is in the pool they made our children leave the pool at exactly 4. They wouldnt let the children make any noise in the pool and no jumping or diving in the pool.
6. Some of the tourist information we received turned out to be wrong.
THis is not a place for families.
Wouldn't stay again!

I spent my 2008 New Year's at the Mirasierra Suites. I thought I'd write a review, b/c I feel if I would have known some of these details, I would have chosen to stay somewhere else. First, I'd like to say that the rooms themselves are great! The room and maid service is top notch! You get more of a suite instead of a 'room.' There is a little kitchenette with stove and refrigerator, which is great if you'd like to make some snacks, breakfast, or drinks. The roomservice and restaurant prices are super high, but I'm sure most hotels in Madrid have high prices as well. There is a nice tub if you like to take baths, and they offer a great variety of pillows, making it pretty comfortable to sleep. My only complaints about the room would be that the room temperature was really hot, and you have no control on the room temp. Also, there is only one or two English speaking stations on the television, so if you have a portable DVD player, you should bring it. So, the reasons why I wouldn't stay at this hotel again....it is very inconveniently located. It's really far from the city center. There is a bus stop outside the hotel and a metro about a 1/2 mile away, each will take at least 40-60 minutes for you to reach the city center (one way). Taxi's are about 15 euro ($24) each way, we took about 4 cab trips, not one of the cabbies knew where the hotel was, they had to use their GPS or stop and ask for directions. That was pretty inconvenient. The worst part about my stay was the staff and service. The front desk staff was extremely rude. On our first night (New Year's Eve) we needed a taxi and asked if they could assist us in getting one (since there are no taxi's in the area). They said no. They said they couldn't help us. I've never been told by a hotel staff member that they couldn't help me get a taxi. They said we needed to take the subway. Which, being our first night in Madrid, we had no idea where it was or how to navigate on it. It took 2 hours, but we ended up figuring it out. We asked to use a plug adaptor, but they said they didn't have any, we asked where we could get one and they had no suggestions. It was basically one thing after another. The staff had zero interest in making us feel welcomed and content. We actually tried to change hotels b/c I couldn't stand being there any longer, but hotels in the city center were another $100 per night, which seemed pretty steep, so we just sucked it up. Needless to say, I wouldn't stay here again. I was very disappointed with my experience with this hotel. Hope this review helps!

Myself and my partner stayed for 4 nights in this hotel on a romantic trip away.
When we arrived the place was covered in the media and fans as Real Madrid football had being staying the night before and were checking out. We got to see all the team leaving which was very exciting - Beckham so small in real life!!!
Our room was beautiful and as is on the net. Very spacious and modern.
We went for dinner in the Verdil restaurant. I have been vegetarian for many years and I have to say its the first time I have ever been stuck for something to eat in a restaurant of this hotel class. What I did get I didn't like and as a result we ate out every night in the city.
I didn't use the spa only because it was closed on the Sunday (which was the day I had set aside for relaxing), the rest of the days we spent shopping and seeing the sights but the treatments and the spa itself looked fab.
