This was our second Scandic experience after Oslo. Located in a mostly commercial area, the hotel is a high-rise that seems to cater to business travelers. As with all Scandics, this one included free wi-fi in the rooms as well as breakfast with the room rate.
Our plan was to visit Stockholm for 4 days. Not being able to get a reasonable rate in the city, we cast a wider net and found this one.
The staff was very friendly on check-in and filled us in on the best way to get to Stockholm using public transit (we didn't have a rental car). There is a bus stop outside the hotel which will take you to the Upplands Vasby train station in about 10 mins. From there, you can catch the train to Stockholm central - about a 40 min ride in a beautiful, spotless train. The staff also gave us details on where to purchase tickets - there's a grocery store next door - and how much we should expect to pay.
But back to the hotel. There are many meeting rooms for business people in the middle floors, while the upper 2 floors are reserved for guests. We found an indoor pool up there as well - the kids loved it, as well as a sauna and gym. Our hotel room was pretty large, I thought. Certainly larger than the one in Oslo. It had its own bar, microwave, a murphy bed for the kids, and a roomy bathroom. The floor plan is split-level, which gives you a certain sense of being in a large room. The blinds did a nice job of keeping the late night sunshine out. The blond-wood furniture was in keeping with the Scandic way - not too fancy, but tidy and a bit stylish. The shower in the bathroom was a large stall with a "door" that only covered about half of it. That's by design and it works fine. Also in keeping with Scandic's eco-friendly practices, there are no soap bars. You have two squeeze bottles mounted to the wall: one by the sink, and another in the shower. One ran out as we were getting cleaned up in the morning, but they're interchangeable, so I was able to move the sink bottle to the shower dispenser. No biggie.
Another one of our needs during our stay was laundry. The hotel typically will let long-term guests do their laundry for free (i.e. not us), but we were able to get them to extend us that courtesy simply by asking. I appreciated that.
Overall, I give this Scandic high marks for service, room size, and overall cleanliness. If we had neighbors in the rooms next door, I never heard them. The downside is the relatively long time it'll take you to get to Stockholm - give yourself one to 1.5 hrs, depending on when you catch the bus and train.

Decided to stay in a hotel before our cross atlantic flight to Orlando, we had an early flight.
We were 4 adults and shared a family suite, 2 seperate bedrooms, one full bathroom with large bathtub and a second bathroom with shower. We stayed on a top floor. Everyone loved the stay there, made the flight much smoother. You need a car if staying here and going to the airport, the do not have shuttle but there are taxis. Its not a proper airport hotel, but really good value. The Scandic breakfast are really increadible.

This is a high-rise hotel located in a small town about halfway between Stockholm and the Arlanda airport. The expressway connecting the two has an exit a couple furlongs away, so I would classify this as an airport hotel.
The building towers incongruously above the low-density development that surrounds it. I have to wonder how the management planned to make any money on a high-rise, accessible only by car, with limited parking nearby, rather than a cheaper low-rise and larger parking lot more suited to its location.
The lobby was lavish, and the glass elevator scenic. My room was clean but rather austere. It did not have high-speed internet so I had to use dial-up. My laptop at the time did not have wireless, so I can't speak to that topic.
The breakfast layout was decent, with about 10 kinds of yogurt, bagels, etc. There is a grocery store across the street, with lots of shelf space dedicated to yogurt. (Swedes must like yogurt.)
The commuter rail station is a good 2-mile hike away. From there it is a straight shot into Stockholm. If you go by foot, go north first, then west. That will take you past some nicer & more interesting parts of town. If you go west first you will see the dirty underside of Sweden's socialist utopia. Might want to avoid that at night, but in July there is no night here.
In conclusion, if you are flying in to the Arlanda airport & have business in the north end of Stockholm, like I did, then this is a logical place to stay. If you are looking for an urban hotel, don't be fooled by the photos of a tall high-rise, the area is about as interesting as a New Jersey suburb.

Too far, too cheap
Guest name: Camel100, London
The hotel was very clean and spacious but it was definitely too far from Stockholm (20-30min cab ride). There is absolutely nothing to do by the hotel. My room was in the new wing and it took ages to get to it as I had to walk through a number of corridors to get to it. I also felt that the fact I had to pay for simple things like toothbrushes/toothpaste was very cheap. I called the front desk about this as i'd forgotten to bring one, and they made me walk all the way downstairs to buy one (!!!) - any other normal hotel would surely deliver one?? Another strange thing about this so-called business hotel was that it only had one computer (!) so i had to wait forever for the person before me to finish. In summary I wouldn't go there again.
