Best Western Vicksburg was the hotel chosen for our family reunion. When I looked at the reviews here, I saw a couple of really bad ones, so I was very leery about staying there. However, my stay was great-no problems at all. The hotel is right off I-20 and next door to a supermarket , Rite Aid and a couple of take-out places. My room was fine(no roaches). I didnt get in the pool but others did and said it was fine. The breakfast was just ok-the usual suspects: sausage,eggs,biscuits,gravy,juice,etc. Nothing to write home about , but better than a lot of places where you have to pay. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Nice large clean room with large fridge and microwave. Good TV with couch for viewing. Hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuits & gravy.

Run from this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We stayed on night and left, there was fresh blood on the shower curtain, large roaches, the carpet is absolutely filthy. I ruined an $8.00 pair of Nike socks, because we didn't want to walk on the carpet barefoot. When we checked out, I asked the man "Buddy" to call the manager/owner and he did, the man would not talk to me on the phone. They had so much trouble with the computer, our room started out at 80, then 70, then 60. Don't know yet how much is going to be charged to my debit card. The pillows, bring your own!! King size bed, with three "golf ball" size pillows on it. The bed was awful. Hard, lumpy. They said that they "remodeled" 2 years ago. One of the employees said that she had told "Peter" (I guess the owner) that the carpets were dirty and he would not do anything about it. We go to Vicksburg every 2-3 months to see our son and his family, first time to stay here and last. I will file a lawsuit if they charge me one cent over 60, which was the last printout the man gave me. Another guest said that they changed rooms 2 times that night due to bugs and the outlets not working. The hairdryer hanging on the wall, was blinking. The outlet would not work.

The BestWestern Vicksburg is a Hotel visable from Interstate 20. It is not a destination resort / casino so It wouldn't be fair to rate the food, etc. The Hotel maintains an indoor pool and provides a secure feeling parking lot. The Front Desk was above average and the Public areas were typical Interstate Motel - austere. The GOOD - clean rooms and furnishings. This is harder to amintain than you think; an interstate property has truckers, and tired travelers of all types coming through. The PRICE is right! The Bad - noise is a bit of a problem with any Interstate visable Hotel. The location for the tourist stuff, Casinos and Historic sites is not that great and the restaurants are not within walking distance. I like BestWesterns for Interstate travel because the owners are usually savy folks that will provide a good enough product to bring people back and not rip a hole in your budget. Vicksburg is a fun place to pass through but the Casinos are not as nice as other places and the local women tend to be very unfriendly even though the tourist industry is what pays the bills. Leave the local greasy spoons alone and eat at the casinos for a better deal on food. Stay away from the gambling unless your just bored from the local lack of social interaction! Pass through and enjoy

We did get a great rate ($76) and our stay was comfortable. They have a wonderful HUGE indoor pool, but the heater is broken on it. I had to take my daughter out because her lips were turning blue. Breakfast was okay. The front desk guy went around to the tables visiting with the guests, which was nice, but, they need more help in this area maintaining the cleanliness. And some of the equipment (toasters) are broken. Also, there is a strange pungent smell in the lobby that kind of makes you lose your appetite. This place is obviously older and has some maintenance issues, but for the price, it did deliver a comfortable stay.
