We weren't expecting much seeing our friends had just shelled out 300eu for a room in the Sheraton at the airport, so we were pleasantly surprised with this hotel for $150eu a night.
Located in a semi industrial area amongst other hotels about 4 kms from the airport, the 2 storey motel style hotel was a bit disappointing from the outside, but parking was free and it was only for one night. Check in was efficient and pleasant and a lift took us to our room, very handy when you have lots of luggage.
Our room was a good size with tiled floor, king bed, reading lamps and a desk and ample storage cupboard. A safe was provided and the windows opened to let in the fresh air, a nice change. Bathroom was very good, modern and clean with a hairdryer, large mirror and small but decent shower which seems to be the norm in Italy. Complimentary breakfast was provided in an adjoining hotel restaurant. Choice was good and coffee nice and hot. Around the corner, a few minutes walk is a cheap and cheerful Italian resaurant and another fancier place.

This hotel was dirty and not worth a penny. We were only staying here for one night for convenience to the airport, which turned out not to be close by and the shuttle was expensive, inconvenient and mostly non-existent. The area surrounding the hotel was not nice and the on-site restaurant was closed. We were told to walk to another restaurant a few blocks away. I would highly advise against staying at this hotel.

Dunno about the other reviews - sounds like "ugly Americans." Shuttle service to Rome airport is NEVER free as far as we know. Even the Marriott Courtyard just down the street (which is 2x that of the Rossi )charges for shuttle. If you don't want to pay for shuttle stay at the airport Hilton for $450 per night!!
Our room was clean - simply an adequate Italian 3 star with tons of usage - Motel 6 quality.
Overpriced but that's due to location.

This hotel should be shut down! We arrived directly from a cruise for a one night stay, we arrived at the hotel at 8am after getting up at 4am to get off the cruise. A surly and non attentive front desk clerk informed me check in only at 11 am, come back then.
Where should we leave our luggage? Just a shrug of her shoulders. When we finally check-in she informs me of an extra 50 euros for my daughter to have a bed, although we had made that booking for 3 people and were quoted a price, including breakfast, room for 3 and shuttle. Never had breakfast, starts to late, charged for shuttle, and extra charge for child. Big ripoff.
We had only 2 towels for 3 people, facecloths and hair towels were serviettes from the dining room, never changed after we showered after check-in.
Overall the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.

This hotel is supposedly 3-star, what a joke. The hotel is not even a good for budget hotel expectations. From the outside it reminded me of a warehouse and the inside didn't get much better. The bathroom had a lot of small hairs all over the bathroom floor, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, the movie channel didn't work, and the man working the desk was very rude. There is not a hotel restaurant as was posted as well. I sent an email of complaint and never received any sort of apology. With service and a place such as the Cancelli Rossi, I didn't think I'd receive one. I will never stay there again.
