This is an OK locale (central downtown) but nothing particularly special about this place. My room was quiet and clean, although the bathroom had no amenities (soap, hand lotion etc). Room service was tasty and quick. I had some trouble at check out, as I couldn't get the staff to understand that I had been charged twice for internet service, so I just gave up and paid the bill. For much nicer locale and ambience, I would recommend the Herrenkrug Park hotel instead.

I should preface my comments by stating that I haven't stayed at any other hotels in Magdeburg. I will say that this hotel by European standards is top notch. The location is very nice if you plan on shopping or sightseeing. There are plenty of shops within two blocks walk out the back lobby doors. There is a tram that runs directly behind the lobby as well, I believe one street over. Should you not want to venture out into the city, the two restaurants located in the hotel are first class. Beware of the breakfast buffet, it is very good but pricey as well at 13 euros. The Christmas Market is a short three blocks away if you should happen to be there during December. As for the rooms, they are quite large although the only beds are doubles(I pushed mine together and was comfortable). There is no AC working during the winter months....I didn't consider Sept. a winter month but they do. And although the windows do open a little it can still become stuffy during the night. The parking garage is quite expensive as well at about 18 euros per day, all of the add ons can push your stay up past the 200 euro per night mark if you aren't careful

L'hôtel est vraiment super, les chambres sont spacieuses et équipées, le personnel est très poli et serviable et le petit-déjeuner est super. La localisation n’est pas la meilleure, mais les transports en commun sont tout près et, enfin, Magdeburg n'est pas si grande... L’unique chose négative à remarquer est qui aux premiers étages il peut être bruyant dans les weekends (l’hôtel loue ses salons). Je recommande vivement cet hôtel.

Das Hotel ist Spitzenklasse. Die Angestellten sind extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage war sehr gut, man kann die Restaurants und Geschäfte in der Innenstadt gut zu Fuß erreichen. Wenn Sie nach einem kurzen Happen suchen, schauen Sie in der Tucker Stube vorbei, die ist ein paar Straßen weiter. Zurück zum Hotel: Parken ist etwas teuer, ca. 12 Euro pro Tag. Wäre gut, wenn Sie das Frühstück im Zimmerpreis enthalten haben, das ist das beste Buffet, dass ich je zum Frühstück erlebt habe. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und ruhig. Ich würde das Hotel allen empfehlen.

This hotel is absolutely amazing. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The location was very good, easy walking distance to the restaurants and shopping downtown. P.S. If you are looking for something to eat, stop in at the Tucker Stube a few streets over! Back to the hotel, the parking is a little pricey, about 12.00/day. Try to get the breakfast included in the price of the lodging as it is the best buffet I have ever eaten for breakfast. The rooms are very spacious and quiet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
