Spent 2 nights at this fantastic hotel in June for my mums 60th, the hotel is 5minutes away from the main train station in a taxi or a 15 min walk.
The hotel is in a excellent location at the end of the Ponte Vecchio brigde right in the center of Florence.
The staff at the hotel are very helpful and friendly, rooms are of a good standard, clean and ok size (kind of what you expect in europe) rooms have a t.v with good selection of channels, mini bar and a/c.
The rooms have small sized bathroom and only have a shower, no bath or shaving plug and again are clean.
The best thing about the hotel is the roof terrace, this is where breakfast is served (07.00-10.30) and then on an evening turns into a bar/ restaurant, the roof terrace offers amazing views across Florence.
Enjoy x

We stayed at the Vivahotel Pitti Palace Hotel, Florence for a long weekend in April 2008. We got a very good deal with Expedia which included flights. It was a great choice as the location was just off the Ponte Vecchio, just perfect for sightseeing – very central. Check-in was really good. The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. Our room (no 402) was lovely. It was a bit small but fine for just a few days. However, it was over a busy road and was rather noise some nights. The room had a t.v., mini bar, safe and hairdryer. Breakfast was good with a very varied choice and it was taken on the top floor (which also served as a bar in the evenings) with beautiful views over the city. If you wish, you could take breakfast out on one of two roof terraces. We ate out every morning admiring the beautiful views and listening to the church bells and the city noises down below. It was my birthday while staying there and my husband and I were given a voucher for a complimentary glass of local ‘bubbly’, which I thought was a very nice touch. Each evening we asked at reception for the recommendation of a restaurant and we were given a very good restaurant each time. They even phoned through for us to make sure a table was available. We did not have a car while there but I think there is some limited parking at the hotel. I would certainly recommend this hotel but would suggest asking for a quiet room. The only downside was that you cannot use any of your own electrical appliances in your room such has mobile phone charger, hair strengtheners, mini-kettle etc as they have sockets which do not take English or continental adaptors. I did ask at reception if they could provide me with an adaptor (apparently, they do have a few) but one did not materialise during our stay.

Great value.
The hotel is "modern " inside and so feels a bit like a "chain hotel" BUT it is so perfectly situated to see Florence...you could not get better.
It is clean and comfortable and the staff, during our stay, were extremely helpful, from where the tour bus starts to where is there a good restaurant , to organising taxis.
There is a small terrace , you can have breakfast or a drink in the evening.- and the breakfast is excellent.
We did not have an evening meal there though.
I would definitely use this hotel again...
Great.

We (my husband and myself) stayed at Piti Palace during Easter season 2008. Location is fantastic, just a short stroll to the Ufizi Gallery and up to Duomo, right, at one end of Ponte Veccio. The room was ok in size, with a v ery big bed, and everything was very clean, tidy, well decorated and in working order. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice, with very fresh fruit, nice croissants, and great capuccino and expresso made to order. The lobby is very cosy, it has a small library and expresso machine, which was very convenient for your guests or yourself, when you come soaked from the street. Weather was not the best, but the city was very lively anyway. The Piti Place made our trip to Florence very enjoyable. Definitely recommend it. We loved the city, we will definitely go back, and would like to come back to this hotel.
