The hotel is very nice and classy. Rooms are very well appointed, conference facilities are adequate and food is good as well. It well deserves 4 star classification. However the area where the hotel is located has developed to be the heart of Milan's Chinatown. Not that this is really a problem, but it simply does not fit with the hotel itself, which caters amongst top sport and fashion stars. No nearby subway station. If you do not mind about the surroundings, the hotel is definitely to be recommended.

Abbiamo alloggiato all'Hermitage durante il periodo natalizio, e siamo rientrati stamattina. In complesso, questo è un ottimo albergo. Tutto il personale era disponibile ed accogliente, si sono anche occupati delle nostre prenotazioni ad un ristorante locale per il pranzo di Natale. L'albergo non si trova in una zona molto buona, ma i taxi si trovano facilmente e naturalmente c'è anche la metropolitana. Un taxi dall'Hermitage alla Cattedrale del Duomo costa circa 10 euro. Per la partenza, abbiamo preso un taxi per l'aeroporto di Bergamo perché il nostro volo era di mattina presto, ma vi consiglio di prendere l'autobus navetta dalla Central Station per 7 euro (110 euro per il taxi). L'albergo è molto pulito ed un buono 4 stelle. La prima colazione continentale era molto buona e il menu per il servizio in camera è limitato. Non abbiamo mangiato nel ristorante dell'albergo perché era chiuso durante il periodo festivo. Vi consiglio quest'albergo se siete disposti a prendere un taxi o la metropolitana per raggiungere tutte le attrazioni turistiche. Ma la disponibilità del personale ha compensato per questo.

We stayed at the Hermitage over Christmas and arrived back this morning. Overall the hotel is great. All the staff are very helpful and friendly, even made us a reservation for Christmas lunch at a local restaurant. The hotel isn't in a great area but there are loads of taxi's and of course the Metro. A taxi from the Heritage to the Duomo Cathedral costs about 10 euro's. We got a taxi to Bergamo airport on the way home, as we had an early flight but recommend the shuttle bus from the Central Station for 7 euro's (110 euro's in a taxi). The hotel is very clean and a good 4 star. Very good continental breakfast but the bar & room service menu is limited. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant as it was closed for the holidays. I would recommend this hotel as long as you don't mind the taxi/metro ride to all the sights, but the helpfulness of the staff made up for that.

The Hermitage is a lovely hotel, but located in a downmarket Chinese neighbourhood. The rooms were classily decorated, facilities were great, staff friendly. If you want a great hotel and are not overly concerned about your surroundings, this is the hotel for you.
