I stayed here during a three day tour of Paris. The hotel is well away from the centre of Paris and it takes nearly 25 minutes to get to all the usual suspects eg. Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triumphe etc. I came back from a day out and my room absolutely reeked of smoke. I do not smoke, nor did the other occupant. Several other people commented on this also. Breakfast was basic, coffee was luke warm. The bar like most hotel bars was VERY pricey. 6.50 euros for a pint of beer!! Rooms are small, and very basic but did the job. Like a lot of continental hotels, no kettle facilities in rooms, just an elaborately over-priced mini-bar. Most staff were nice, except a ginger lad behind the counter in the lobby who constantly looked as if he was manicly depressed. More suited as an under-taker than in customer service. Overall, a VERY basic hotel. Not really recommended unless you are desperate, even then the street looks appealing.

I stayed here for a conference last year - rooms were okay - basic but clean. Lack of electrical points - Hair straightners had to be plugged in by the bed as this was the only plug, but the mirror was by the door (round the corner) - not designed with women in mind !
The food was, without doubt, some of the worst meals I have ever eaten. Lack of variety, strange menus.. and there is NOWHERE nearby to get a quick snack as the place is way, way outside of the centre of Paris.
On the upside, the staff were very pleasant and the public areas kept clean.
I would not return unless I really had to !

A eviter...

Good Quad Rooms for Families, old bathrooms, poor breakfasts

Spent 3 nights here with my wife and 2 kids in a good sized quad room. Room was made up of two rooms, one with sofa bed, the other with 2 single beds. The bathroom was clean but ageing, a small rust spot in the bath, discoloured sealant etc. The aircon and double glazing worked well, which was good because there is a lot of traffic noise and the hotel is next to an overground railway line. Check out what your travel agent has organised for breakfast as the hotel offers 4 ranges of breakfast depending on what you've paid. Ours was poor and didn't feel special with tinned fruit cocktail, longlife milk, cheap jams, chicory coffee etc. All that said, the staff were very friendly, my family room had a good carpet and we all slept well. It is very close to the metro, although 15 or so stops from the Louvre / Pont Neuf. I wouldn't stay here again but it did the job.
