Nothing Fancy, typical London hotel with small rooms and outdated plumbing. The bathroom was pretty old and in need of updating but what do you expect, in London, for 80 pounds. Very convenient to London's not so convenient tube but if you don't mind the additional cost, the express train from Heathrow drops you at Paddington station within walking distance of the hotel. We had the typical amounts of luggage for Americans- way too much! But we managed just find despite the hotel's small elevator- at least there was one and it worked. The hotel breakfast was nice though the staff sort of make you feel they are doing you a major favor just by attending to your needs. I felt like asking for water with breakfast but couldn't work up the nerve. Despite the lack of an attentive staff, the manager was helpful, the charges were correct and I would stay again in the future. I prefer the Kensington area and would try any of the hotels there first, but for the price this one is hard to beat and I did my research before going.

Saw the reviews when looking for a hotel back in Feb and it seems to suggest that the hotel was better than the Hilton round the corner and had under gone some refurb NO WAY I can only assume the reviews which conned me where put on by the hotel it self
I stayed here with my wife booking in on April Fools day fr 2 nights and to say it was a cow shed is unkind to cowsheds. The bedroom carpet in room 340 was disgusting as was the bathroom with black mould round the bath. The only way to open the curtains was to climb on the single bed shoe horned in
The lift was so small it is lucky I still get on with my wife! I couldn't have taken it with anyone else. It has dark blue carpet on the walls and ceilings making it very clautrophobic/ To get to our room you had to take the lift to the 4th floor walk across a bridge and then down a flight of badly worn carpeted narrow stair case
I would avoid it like the plague.
That being said the staff where all lovely and polite The breakfast was good and it was very handy for Paddington Tube and Station

I stayed there in Oct 07 what a dissapointment the hotel decor is out dated it needs a total overhaul its dirty. The rooms are sub standard the bathroom is the smallest room I have ever been in. You can't have a decent shower, the staff can just about speak English thats if you go to reception at the right time to be honest I loved London what a fab city but I was delighted to get out of that hotel to go home to sleep in my own bed and have a decent shower was heaven...... I have no idea how this hotel has a 3 star rating.............I would love to know how it got any type of rating as I would not rate it at all
