Just returned from a 2 day business trip to Rome and stayed at Hotel Tritone booked for me by the travel agency of my company, primarily because central location is great. I would say this is the only advantage of this hotel. As for the rest, pretty terrible. They put me in room 201, horrible bedroom, old and smelly. Bed was old. Furniture also very old. The worst was probably the window would not close properly and I was waken up every morning around 6 by the dustman. Hotel was clean on the other hand which is a good point. Breakfast average but great view on the top floor of the building. Room service is non existing, they have no iron or iron board at guests disposal which is not acceptable. Not a hotel for business trips, defintely.

L'hôtel est vraiment bien situé : à quelques pas de la fontaine de trévi. En revanche, les prestations ne sont pas terribles : chambres minuscules, salle de bain pas très pratique, le tout assez bruyant, petit déjeuner avec jolie vue mais nourriture médiocre. Le staff est très serviable cependant. A choisir si vous avez négocié un prix relativement bas.

Six adults stayed her for 5 days. Wonderful location. Very central. Tiny lobby/reception area. Kiosk type reception with people lined up on stair entrance waiting for service. Very austere reception staff. - ordered taxi on day of departure for airport which did not arrive. Completely indifferent to our urgent need to catch plane. Had to run into street and get one ourselves! Very Expensive for basic accomopdation - rooms dark, small, minimialist and very basic.

Stayed with two friends in March. Our rooms were standard and, although clean, a bit basic and in need of refurbishment. The rooftop breakfast room was very good and nice breakfast. We could see that the superior rooms on the higher floors were much nicer. Having said that the location was great, the staff very helpful and we did not notice the noise too much. A word of warning about Romne in general. It is not a safe city. My friend was robbed, the official taxi drivers will scam you out of your money and if you are using public transport make sure you validate your tickets otherwise you face an on the spot fine of 50euros

After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor about this hotel, I was a little worried as they were very mixed. The only negative thing that is true is that the hotel is on a busy road so there is noise from passing traffic, but after a day sight seeing you will probably be so tired you won't notice it - we didn't. I had booked two rooms, both of which had been refurbished and were of a very high standard. The bedding and towels were immaculate as was the room and infact the whole hotel. The breakfast was plentiful with a wide variety of items to suit every taste. The hotel is situated just around the corner from the Trevi Fountain and is within walking distance of all of the major attractions. I would have no double in highly recommending this hotel. If you have never been to Rome before you are in for a real treat as it is a truly fabulous place.
