The clientele at this hotel were primarily business people while I stayed there. The location of the hotel is quite a distance from Bonn's main attractions, about 20 minutes walk to the main train station, 10 minutes to the U-bahn. Our room was very elegantly furnished, with gold faucets in the bathroom, marble tile, crown molding... Rich upholstery and drapery is faded and threadbare. Front desk staff is efficient and friendly. Housekeeping was adequate. Breakfast buffet was better than I expected, with a selection of pastries, juices, fruit, a few hot items. Verbrachte im Juni 07 eine Nacht in diesem Hotel. Einzelzimmer war ziemlich klein (Nr. 41), Bad war winzig. Hatte Probleme mit dem Zimmerventilator (da es keine Klimaanlage gibt). Ich habe Elektrotechnik studiert, aber es gelang mir nicht, den Ventilator anzuwerfen. Nach meinem Aufenthalt schrieb ich das Hotel per Email an, um über meine Probleme zu berichten, und sie waren sehr entgegenkommend und erklärten mir, dass der Ventilator, der auf dem Schreibtisch steht, über einen Wandschalter angestellt wird, und dass die Duschköpfe ausgetauscht werden (weil die Dusche auf die Wand gerichtet ist und nicht auf die Person, die duschen will). Frühstück war gut. Ich hätte keine Bedenken, wieder hier zu übernachten.

Stayed for 1 night in June 07. Single room was quite small (room 41), bathroom was tiny. Had some issues getting the room fan to work (since there is no air-con), Ive a degree in Electronic Engineering but I couldnt get the fan to work. I mailed the hotel after the stay with my issues and they were very responsive and explained there is a wall switch for the fan on the desk and that they are replacing the shower heads (as the shower points to the wall and not at the person taking the shower). Breakfast was good. Ive no problem in staying here again.

paid top price over euro 130 & the room was tiny,tiny tiny I mean tiny. opening case that is a trolley dolly type one end touched the door the other the bed. Entry in the shower was a tight move, only 30cm to get in, This room is 31 avoid. at 59 the ibis is over the road.

For a 3 star hotel, this place really had character - especially if you end up having to stay in an Ibis (there's one just opposite this hotel) so for 62 EUR including breakfast - a really plentiful buffet breakfast - it is a bargain! The hotel has style and the receptionist was very welcoming and helpful, the hotel is not huge and I personally found the single room a bit small. But it was worth the price paid. The small bar looked nice, but was empty in the evening. The worst thing about this hotel was that it was at least 10 minutes walk from the centre of Bonn. However, it was charming and elegant and good value for money.
