We loved this hotel. We do think we had a superior room however, but as we never saw any of the others, we could be wrong. Regardless, this hotel is spotless, newly refurbished, very quiet and generally lovely. Breakfast was great, staff were lovely and very attentive. Perhaps a little bit out of the way but very near Vondelpark, Hard Rock Cafe, Rijksmuseum, and in a generally lovely, well to do area. Great suggestion if you are looking for a quiet trip to Amsterdam. About half hour walk to Dam Square.

We got a great bed and breakfast deal at this hotel and it's definitely the best place we've stayed during our trips to Amsterdam.
Staff were very friendly and chatty, always acknowledged you when you were coming and going and the reception was always manned.
The room and bathroom were done out well and had a modern, trendy look. Plenty of wardrobe space and enough coathangers (one of my things!). Tea, coffee and a mini-bar were provided too. Our room was cleaned and towels were changed daily.
Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice, hot and cold. Staff at breakfast were very nice too and it felt like they took an interest. Breakfast finishes at 10.30am which is later than a lot of places, so great if you've had a heavy one the night before!
Location is also great and near all the places we enjoy in Amsterdam, like Vondelpark. Trams and buses are right on the doorstep so it's very easy to get about if you need to travel a bit further.
We would definitely make this our first hotel choice when we go back to Amsterdam.

Excellent location - a few blocks from the Van Gogh and Rijks museums. Could easily walk to Leidseplein and was a short tram ride to red light district.
We got a room with a bathtub on the ground floor. The room was small (even by European standards) with a very small bathroom. Overall this was a satisfactory experience.

We had such a positive experience staying at this hotel a couple of years ago & so when it came to organising another trip to the gorgeous Amsterdam, the Bilderberg seemed like the right choice. So here are the good & the not so good points, from our perspective:
The Good
Great staff- really friendly & helpful
Extremely comfortable bed with fresh white linen
Very clean room
Excellent location, within walking distance of pretty much everything (but there are tram stops nearby if you don't want to walk)
The Not So Good
The room seemed a little run down - nothing major...a bit of mildew around the shower screen.
Another point:
The rooms *are* small but this is Amsterdam!!!! Get out of your room & explore this beautiful city!
We'd definately stay at this hotel again.
