this is a good value clean hotel well sited for travellers who arrive by Eurostar- can take Metro Ligne 2 direct from G du Nord to Nation, and then shortish walk to hotel.
I had a standard room which was small since in Paris you pay for space in a hotel room, but it was ok for a short stay when you do not return to the hotel during the day. Next time I'll pay extra and have a bigger room.
I didn't take the breakfast- €14 for an eat all you want buffet! - as I just wanted coffee and croissant. You can get these at a cafe 5 mins away in the direction of Nation; also there is a good baker who sells sandwiches.
In the Bastille direction is a good local restaurant- Chez Ramulaud, which I recommend highly. Some staff speak good English and they are all friendly. It gets busy on a Fri and Sat night so booking essential if you want to eat after 9pm.

Loud, dirty and not a very good part of city. Far from main sites, but close to metro. Air conditioner did not work. Way over priced.!!!!

Booked as a eurostar package and got an excellent deal. Very good value for money in this deal. Hotel close to Nation metro which has good links to all of Paris plus on line for Disney. Very safe area. Hotel was clean and staff friendly. Room was quite spacious with a seperate room with bunk beds for the children. Bathroom was very small but adequate, had bath with shower over. Had a kitchette consisting of sink, fridge and 2 ring hob. However although pans and kettle; only provide1 plate, 1 saucer and a couple of spoons. No mugs only glasses. Why provide a kitchen but not put any utensils?? Hotels seems to have a deal for American language students. Lots of these staying here and hanging out in lobby using the internet. Hotel had a central courtyard which all rooms had a window to, but when guests came in late sound travelled and students weren't partically quite at 2am! We did not have breakfast at hotel as this was extremly expensive.

We stayed at this hotel in April when the weather was unseasonally hot. Our room was very warm with no air con and the windows did not open as wide as we'd have liked. Any warmer and it would have been really uncomfortable - be warned if you are staying in high summer! (The higher floors seem to be warmer - the heat hits you as you step out of the lift - so you may fare better on a lower floor).
Overall, however, we really enjoyed our stay at the Patio St Antoine and it compares favourably with other so-called 3-star hotels we've stayed in. The room was a decent size (for Paris), and although the decor was a little shabby the bathroom was clean, a good size and had a proper over-bath shower. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel but it did look nice and was served until 10.30 or 11 - ideal for late sleepers! We didn't use the self-catering facilities and in any case there was hardly anything provided - no cutlery for example. It was useful having a small fridge in the room though as it means you can enjoy a chilled bottle of wine/beer if you wish!
The best bit was the courtyard gardens - it was lovely to sit out there first thing in the morning or to enjoy the warm evening air. It was really peaceful and felt far away from the busy city.
The restaurant next door (I think it's called La Dame Brune) is decent: a bit overpriced, but it has a nice atmosphere and if you sit outside it's fun to watch the world go by - there are lots of interesting characters in the neighbourhood!
The nearest metro is Nation which is well-connected, and there are also several bus routes running from there - you can take a bus to Montmartre from there, for example. Bastille and the Marais are also easy to get to by bus along the Rue du Fbg St Antoine. But you may like to walk to Bastille from the hotel as there's plenty to see on the way. There are lots of lively bars further up the road, around the Ledru-Rollin metro stop.
When we checked out the staff were very pleasant and helpful about looking after our bags for us for the day. All in all, we'd go back!
