Ok it might not be on the beach ,but for a budget traveller this hotel is not bad at all.It is only a 10 minute walk to the beach.The room was excellent and the staff was friendly and always eager to help. For the price I can certainly recomend this Hotel

The hotel is actually far from rthe beach and the information on their website about this is misleading - it is at least 5 city blocks away. They charge extra for using the safe that is in your room - $2/day. The bellhops were pushy and unprofessional - my backpack with a notebook computer in it had been thrown quite a distance in rthe storage room so that when I opened it the DVD drive was hanging out and the computer had turned itself on. My attempt to settle with the manager failed - I got accused by her that I hadn't told them about the computer. She claimed this was just baggage to her, so they could treat it as they pleased and I got no compenstion af any kind. So - poor service - they might be trying, but they are failing badly, and lack professionalism.

Présent quatre jours à Rio en tant que touriste, j'ai apprécié cet hôtel. Le confort y était présent. Les chambres présentaient l'ensemble des fonctionnalités que l'on est en droit d'attendre de ce type d'hôtel. Le service était plus que correct. Je ne comprend pas vraiment les critiques affirmant que le personnel de la réception est peu souriant et cherche à tout prix à vendre des excursions. Personnellement, ce n'est qu'à ma demande qu'ils m'ont parlé de ces excursions. Et sur ce point, je tiens à recommander tout particulièrement le concierge de l'hôtel (reconnaissable aux deux clés entrecroisées sur son uniforme) qui s'est montré extrèmement serviable et tout à fait complet dans ses explications. Les conseils qu'il m'a donné étaient tout à fait valables. Je précise aussi que, voyageant seul, les excursions proposées par l'hôtel étaient bien moins chères que si j'étais passé par des taxis ou des agences de voyage. Cela m'a d'ailleurs été confirmé par un ami vivant au Brésil et chez qui j'ai séjourné en dehors de Rio. Quant à l'emplacement de l'hôtel, il est vrai qu'il est situé à environ 15 minutes de marche de la plage de Copacabana mais il présente l'avantage d'être à une rue seulement de la principale artère commerçante de Rio. D'où quand même certains avantages en terme de shopping. Le restaurant de l'hôtel présentait lui une nourriture plus qu'acceptable et une carte suffisamment variée pour un hôtel. Bref, un hôtel que je me permets de recommander.

This was the cheapest hotel I found in Copacabana online. It isn't very close to the beach, but it is at least walking distance. The rooms were average, the pool was average, the service was just ok. But I'll give them credit for the included breakfast. It wasn't bad!

This hotel has a great location. It is close to shopping area, restaurants, banks, internet cafe, etc. It is approx. 3-4 blocks away from the beach but definately within 5-10 min. walking distance. The hotel and rooms are modern and clean. There is a beautiful rooftop pool, conference rooms, and internet facilities. Breakfasts consists of a buffet with plenty of options with fruit, fruit juices, breads, dessert, eggs, bacon, etc. The staff are very helpful. I recommend this hotel for group travel.
