White Hotel in Rome had a great location. It only cost us 11 Euro to get a taxi there from the main train station.
From the hotel we walked everywhere without having to take an organised tour. We visited the Colosseum, Vatican City, the Pantheon and was only about 100 metres from the Trevi Fountain. We had great joy most evenings just going to the fountain and people watching.
The rooms were small with the bathroom being especially small, we had trouble with the drain in the shower blocking after the water had been on for only about 30 seconds. We complained after our second night the day before we checked out and it was fixed that day. We should have done that to start with.
The lift was out of order for the first 24 hours and we were on the third floor so that added to our exercise.
The room was very clean, the staff especially helpful and the breakfast was excellent. This was one of the few places in Europe that served eggs for breakfast.
Once again the hotel's location was its' best point.

The hotel has been updated so it boasts some funky art pieces on white walls and lots of mirrors. Great location - 2 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain. However for the price you pay, you would expect bigger rooms and a bathroom you can move freely in. The room me and my boyfriend stayed in, was cosy and quiet but then again it was facing a grubby looking building. So much for the view!
The hotel concierge was not very helpful when asked about the local restaurants and insisted that we go to the restaurant next door the hotel has a deal with. Determined to find something less "touristy", we found a real gem - probably the best Italian tratoria in that part of Rome. Tritone is situated in Via Dei Maroniti, 1-3-5. It offers an excellent traditional roman cuisine and a great atmosphere. No wonder the place is always packed, but if you hang around for a while, they will find you a table. Very efficient service! The walls adorned with famous faces - Lucy Liu, Paul Hogan aka Crocodile Dundee, to mention just a few. Added bonus - apparently the best ice cream in Rome called Gelateria San Crispino (!) just round the corner walking anti-clockwise from the tratoria. Flavours galore!

Stayed in two side by side "garden rooms" with 2 adult daughters. Rooms were spotless with fabulous flat screen tvs. Breakfast was plentiful from fruit to hot items so much so that we never needed to eat lunch! Location can't be beat. Central to everything, we walked to Trevi ( 2 min), Piazza Spagna ( 5 min), Pantheon, etc. Street itself fun with plenty of places to eat and feels safe and friendly. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. very helpful with all questions and requests. We have already rebooked for summer of 08. Highly recommended.

This is an excellent hotel which is in the middle of everything. The rooms are modern, very clean and well facilitated. The hotel staff are attentive and meet all your requests with a pleasant smile and a fast turnaround. There is an extensive range of food for breakfast and I would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again. There are many local restaurants in walking distance from the hotel.

Brilliantly located, smallish hotel in the hub of Rome. Three minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and all the highlights are nearby.
The hotel was clean, and we stayed in a newly fitted out room. Staff where terrific and the whole experience was fantastic.
