Myself and my boyfriend stayed at Edison hotel in March for four nights! We werent expecting to be astounded by it so thought it was great place for us. The bedroom's decor is out of date but all we wanted were compfy beds and a decent shower!its smack bang in middle of all the action - 2 blocks from subway-no distance at all!The main thing for us that it was safe. You hear of all these horror stories of wallet's, gifts etc being robbed from hotel room. Security was excellent at edison as there is a security guard at elevator's making sure you have room key etc. That was really reassuring. There is a brilliant deli two doors down which is fab!fresh fruit, french toast, breakfasts etc so we would just grab fruit in the mornings. Times square is quite expensive to eat in so having that deli right next door was very handy. The hotel has everything you need and even has internet room where you just feed pc dollar notes. There is a luggage room and restaurant and bar etc. There are also loads of pubs in neighbourhood and few broadway shows on same street so you do not have to go far at all!It is very loud area but surprisingly not noisy from bedroom. If you are just looking for a base and a hotel where you will just be getting few hours kip, I would definitely reccomend the Edison. Really no point in forking out loads of cash if you aren;t going to get out of it. Had fab holiday and will be returning for a girly holiday!

My family and I booked the Edison Hotel upon recommendation of a freind who had stayed there previously. We had a combo suite which was very convenient for our family with two teenage boys. The rooms were adequate and cleaned every day. Yes, it is an older hotel, but it met all our needs. The location for proximity to shows and subway was terrific. It has a nice little cafe and a fine dining restaurant as well. Concierge was very helpful and the staff was friendly. There are numerous places to grab a quick bite or sit and have a meal in this area. We would most definetly recommend this hotel to our friends. The price was good and we would certainly stay there again if we ever have the opportunity to visit again. Rudy and Alma Singleton St. John's, Nl Canada

I was a bit concerned after reading the reviews of this hotel but I had no reason to worry. OK, it's a little dated and the rooms are quite small, but who goes to New York to stay in their room all day? My son and I went for 4 nights and we used the room purely to sleep (comfortable clean beds) and shower (hot water and very clean bathroom). The maid came in every day and we had clean sheets and towels each time. And the hotel is in a fantastic location - literally on the doorstep of Times Square. We were on the 9th floor and had no noise at all - the air conditioning was a little noisy but we were so tired we had no problems sleeping through that! So if you've booked this hotel, don't worry. It's great - clean, comfortable and a fantastic location. Have fun!

We had the best time at Edison in New York!!! Special thanks to Ryan at Front desk, very professional and helpful! We liked our room 2200 very much, and would definitely like to come back. Our room was a "combo two bedroom" so our sons had their own room, and there was a TV in each room. We had a great view from the windows as we were on the 22nd floor. And the best thing is the location: couldn?t be better with Times Square just one minute away.
