Our family stayed 4 nigths in the triple room.
Very good service in hotel. Cosy restaurant with reasonable prices.
Only minus sides from our point of view were lack of fresh juice on the breakfast table and a bit too hard beds.

We have just returned from 5 weeks in europe and would rate Hotel Napolen as the hotel with the most helpful staff out of all the hotels we stayed at. The accomodation itself was neat and quiet, and the breakfast was much better than any other hotel offering throughout Italy. Much more than just bread and croissants.Franco and Roberto, the 2 duty concierge's we met were not only informative with suggestions on how we should attack Rome but they were also interested in making our stay enjoyable. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner Roberto Cioce who invited us and some other guests to a wine tasting evening. His family has a long history with the hotel, and so for him it is more than just a job. The location was also good, the metro stop right at the front door certainly made getting into the city centre very easy, not that it was much of a walk anyway. There was also a nice park directly across from the hotel with a small arcade and planty of room to kick a ball with the kids. Most of the innner city hotels had nothing like this. It is also located closer to areas where the locals shop and eat so if you stay here spend some time exploring the area around the hotel. If more of the hotels we stayed at were like Napolean it would have made our trip across europe even better!

This place is wonderful.
The staff are genuinely friendly and happy to answer any questions. The rooms are comfy and have a decent sized shower!
The food available is good and very reasonably priced. We ate there 4 out of 5 nights.
After being on holiday for 5 weeks, we actually spent most of our time in the bar or the lounge. Every night you would the lounge would be filled with guests. It was lovely meeting someone new each night as we enjoyed a wine and watched Euro 2008 on the tv.
It's right on top of the metro system and is 3 blocks and 1 park from the Termini.
I would definately suggest catching the train to the airport instead of getting a transfer. It takes 2 mins to Termini station, change over to the airport line and 30 mins later your at the airport. Our bus transfer took us over an hour and cost a fortune compared to a train ticket.
Thank you to Sarah for directing us to the sunday markets. It truly was an experience!

Really pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Great location. We walked to the Colosseum in about 10 mins! Termini Station very close. Although when we arrived at the station we were totally ripped off by a taxi driver who charged us ?20 to travel what is one stop on the metro! Get the metro - don't be lazy like we were! The hotel is walking distance from the station.
The welcome at the hotel was great. Really friendly - Not too stuffy. The layout is a little strange. Reception is ground floor - Lobby is 1st floor etc. This was not a problem. In fact I think it made the hotel quieter and more relaxing. There are lifts as well as stairs.
Rooms are a good size. TV is basic. Bed very comfy. Clean. Tidy. Very Rome! Neat Bathrooms. Windows overlooking residential property. Air-Con - Very good and much needed! It was in the 90s when we were there! Too hot!
Breakfast - Served until 10am I think. In the restaurant. Very nice. Everything you could want. Except for baked beans! Very fresh and plenty of it!
The entrance to the Metro Line A is right outside the hotel. Very convenient. Took us 15 minutes to get to the Vatican. 10 minutes to get to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE METRO LINE A CLOSES AT 9PM UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. We didn't know this so had to get taxis back to the hotel after nights out...Average cost was ?10. Not bad.
Room Service also very good and quick!
I recommend this hotel to all. There was a massive family of people there when we were there...Youngest was 5 - Oldest was 75! Says it all really!
ENJOY!
