We stayed here for one night only to cure jet lag following a flight from SFO. It exceeded our expectation. Our twin room cost $135. It was clean, and the room was well maintained. The room, although small met our needs, and reminded us of a small European style family hotel. As other reviewers noted, the airport shuttle was very professionally operated. The front desk was efficient.
The hotel is situated in the middle of what could be Main Street in any small town, with lots of small neighborhood type restaurants and shops (but no clubs, so the street was quiet at night.) The neighborhood felt quite safe.
We would not hesitate to stay at The Gemini Hotel for a longer stay. The Sydney eastern suburb of Radwick is only 15 minutes from downtown Sydney by public transit bus, which stops right outside the door.

Spent 6 days in the gemini hotel, randwick with 3 other friends.
The free airport transport service was professional and courteous. Even when we were departing and accidentally left our wallet in the bus, he made the extra trip back to return it to us at the airport. The hotel staff even went to the nearby cafe to help look for the missing wallet as well. Well done
During the stay, one of our beds was a bit soft, but housekeeping made the extra effort to replace the mattress with a firmer one to ensure a comfortable night's rest when informed.
Over the weekend unfortunately some unruly residents were making a bit of noise but one call to the reception and prompt service soon quelled the disturbance.
Facilities wise, the bathrooms were a tad cramped but were kept clean and good hot water for nice warm showers.
Location: lots of eating places and shops nearby.
also, free transport to the central railway station can be arranged with the front desk
Overall, kudos to the hotel and staff. worth coming back anytime

Whenever I stay in a hotel, I put prime importance to the service it brings me. I must say, Gemini Hotel tops my list in terms of personalized service and utmost convenience.
The airport transfer was very professional and courteous. Room service was fine. They had laundry, tea-making facilities that served so much convenience during our stay (stayed there with some business colleagues in Sydney).
I would have to agree that the room was surprisingly spacious. It was really a great comfort to stay there after a hard day's work. Loved the balcony view also. It was relaxing.
From their online booking (via their website which offers the best rates) up to the guest's stay, it was nothing but convenience and personalized service. Will stay there again. :)

Spent four nights at the Gemini Hotel. Paid A$135 a night.
We missed the airport transfer when we arrived because our flight was delayed and we got out of the airport after the 10:15pm deadline.
When we walked into the room we were surprised at the spaciousness. I believe the room was a double. The room was almost split into two. The "separate room" was spacious with a couch and TV. The "kitchen" area was a nice surprise with a sink and drying rack.
The bathroom was a little cramped and there was food under the couch, but the balcony view of the city was nice. Only problem is you choose between the Randwick traffic or the boy's school that sounds an alarm every change of period.
The hotel is a good A$20 - A$30 taxi ride to the city one-way. Pretty costly when you consider everything to do is in the city.
The hotel does not offer internet access in the rooms. Had to pay A$2 - A$3 at the next door internet cafe. Also, the room does not have its own ironing board you have to go to the third floor.
The airport transfer back to the airport was nice and professional.

I recently stayed at the Gemini Hotel for one night. It was an old hotel and the room was cramped and dirty. The chairs had stains on them and the ceiling was chipped with a light bulb protruding. We were in a twin room next to the breakfast cafe so it was very loud and we were unable to sleep from about 5.45am onwards. We had requested a non-smoking room but were not provided with one. I was very disappointed and I would not choose to stay there again.
