We booked this hotel for a city break through the 'Euro Star' website and what a bargain it proved to be! The location is ideal in terms of access to the subway and walking in the local area, and the hotel itself was charming and very clean. The staff were very helpful too and the rooms were comfortable and spacious. I would recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a city break in Paris as it is great value, close to amenities and the continental breakfasts were great- particularly the croissants! Yum!

We have just returned from a 10 day trip to Paris where we stayed at the Littre Rive Gauche in Montmartre. This hotel had been recommended by our airline and we booked through our agent. To our surprise the room was large (which is unusual in Europe and especially in Paris). It was very well appointed and immaculately clean. The location is within 1.5 block of several main metro lines and in a good district for shopping, eating or just walking around. The staff was very helpfull and breakfast was more than we expected again with very courteous and attentive staff.
This was our 3rd trip to Paris and this was the best budget hotel we have stayed in. I would recommend it to anyone.

Just returned last week. First time ever in Europe. Selected this hotel based on reviews. Stayed 7 nights. Location was quite central and lots of restaurants nearby. Hotel personnel and service was excellent. Like another reviewer, I found the American buffet tiresome but was good quality with decent selection. The scramble eggs were unusual. Not sure if it was cooked the "Parisian" way. Way too much milk and a bit undercooked. The front desk was quite helpful in recommending local restaurants and transit to the major attractions. However, they did lack some knowledge when I inquired on where to buy the RER/Versailles combo pass that I read about in Rick Steve's travel book. The rooms were quite clean and odourless even though I was in a smoking room. However, sometimes I could smell smoke coming in through some of the vents. The only other complaint I had is the shower. It was very very slow to drain. I believe another reviewer mentioned this as well. The hotel is definitely not handicap/people with limited mobility friendly but then again neither is Paris.
Overall I was quite pleased with the hotel. Being a first timer to Paris, I didn't realize the alarm clock is built into the TV. I regret not thanking the staff on my last day as the pickup service to the airport was early and I had to rush out. I just want to take this opportunity to thank all the staff. I had a great experience at your hotel and looking forward to going back in the very near future.

Eight of us traveled to Paris and stayed the whole week at Hotel Littre. It was just perfect for us. The rooms were much larger than we expected; the location is very central and convenient to the Metro and walking to lots of the tourist attractions very doable.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet offered a wide selection and was very good.
I would definitely stay there again.

Had a great 3 night stay at Littre Hotel. It is in a great position, off the main busy roads, but close enough to walk to the many bars and resturants, plus the metro is very close by. We took the air france transfer bus from the airport, and the drop off point at Montrapasse is only about a 10 min walk. Though I must say this bus does get Very busy, and you cannot always get on the first one that comes, give yourself plent of time to get to the airport.
We were not in the hotel a great amount, but the breakfast was always very good, plenty of choice, and friendly helpful staff.
Would we vist again? Most definitely, and we would recommend this hotel to anyone who would like a good nights sleep before the days sightseeing!
