We stayed 4 nights in the Hotel Savoy and it was perfect! The hotel has the Vienna style, very beautiful! The rooms were very cleaned and cozy. Some people at the reception (NOT everybody) were friendly and happy to help. The breakfast room was very small but no problem if you go earlier/later than 09h00 (when everybody wants the breakfast). The hotel is perfectly localized - close to a metro station and close to Ringstrasse. Tip: ask for the bath plug if you wanna enjoy your bath!!!!

I stayed in this hotel last summer and it was very nice! The hotel was beautiful and I loved the small breakfast room. Service was very good, staff was friendly and helpful. Location was perfect, many nice shops, good restaurants and interesting museums were in walking distance. And of course, the price was low! Vienna is my favourite city and I can't wait to visit there again.

I stayed in Savoy Hotel last summer in July and it was really great! The room was comfortable and clean!The service was perfect and the people quite friendly, they even gave us a map of Vienna and a lot of information! What I enjoyed the most was its location,being right next to all the famous sites and metro stations, we had the chance to visit a lot of museums which were in walking distance! I really enjoyed it, I would definatelly stay there again!

My friend and I stayed at this hotel as part of a package to Vienna, Prague and Budapest through Austrian Airlines. Of the three cities, this was the best hotel location...and the overall best hotel experience. One of the front desk staff, Andrea Reinfeldt, was REALLY awesome! She answered all our random questions about Vienna in general and took the time to help us decipher the train schedule for the trip we were taking to Budapest in the next couple of days. Her friendliness and helpfulness really enhanced our Vienna experience. As mentioned in another review...there are a bunch of steps you have to climb before you get to the main level. But after that initial hurdle things are good. Our room was really cute. Looked like a little apartment and even had a workding doorbell. The location is convenient...just a block away from a main shopping drag, Mariahilfer Strasse. All in all, a good hotel, competent staff and good location.

The first time I stayed at the Hotel Savoy was in December 2005 with my mother. We have once again returned to this charming hotel but this time with my whole family. We stayed in the hotel from December 26, 2007 to January 1, 2008 and as usual, we stayed in traditional Viennese rooms. My mother and I stayed in room #43 and my sister, brother-in-law and niece stayed in room #45. In each room, I ordered a fruit basket that cost me $15 Euros each ($22 Canadian) and a box of chocolates for my niece (same price). The fruit baskets were huge with several delicious items i.e. Apples, Avocadoes, Bananas, Pears etc. The breakfast room is still beautiful and since it is small it has a very cozy atmosphere. The price of our rooms included buffet breakfast and as usual there are many wonderful items to choose from i.e. Cereals, Cold Cuts, Eggs, Yogurt etc. For drinks they have Coffee, Hot Chocolate, Tea, several tasty juices not to mention mineral water. They have different breads that they bring to your table in a breadbasket. Once again, the hotel and service is excellent, in fact the same staff are still there!! Through the staff, we purchased tickets to “Concert in Mozart's House” where Mozart played and worked. The concert was in the “Sala Terrena”, which is known as the oldest concert hall in Vienna and is a small but beautiful room with its many frescos. The music is played by a small quartet made up of 4 people who one can clearly see that they enjoy playing Mozart’s music. In fact, my niece who is nine years old brought her stuffed dog all dressed up to the concert and you could see his head pop up from her sweater and the group playing were trying not to laugh as they thought that was really cute! Although, there are currently renovating in front of the hotel, our rooms were very quiet and you could not hear any noise coming from the construction. As well, the view from our rooms was not in direct contact with the construction going on. The hotel is in a great location to many major sights and you can walk to many of them. Although, it was rather cold we took the metro/subway that was located in front of our hotel to our places of interest. On December 31, 2007 staff were handing out bottles of Champagne to some of the rooms. My family and I thought that was a lovely touch and we could not wait to break open the bottles! Not to mention that on January 1, 2008 they served everybody a glass of champagne during breakfast with food items i.e. salmon. P.S. The next time we go back my mother and I, which we are hoping to do so in the summer of 2009 to see the lovely gardens of the various Palaces, we will definitely stay in this hotel.
