The hotel is very nice, although located on kind of an awkward corner that's hard to cross and full of traffic. However, its within about 500 feet of the train station, and only about four blocks from the city center.
The bathroom was nice but the tub itself was ridiculously small. I'm a small person and had a hard time showering in there without getting water everywhere, or slipping when I got out of the tub. Otherwise the room was very clean.
My only problem was with Rothenburg itself. Thank God we only spent two days there because after seeing the city center, there is NOTHING else and the entire city closes down at 8:30 PM. But there is a 24-hour convenience store across from this hotel with a Burger King attatched (that closes at 10PM). We bought beer and put it in the mini-bar.

Very average - more like a Motel!

Firstly, we had huge problems getting there - no one in the area knew where the hotel was and the car satellite navigation system pinpointed the hotel in the wrong spot (only time the navigation system was inaccurate during our week's trip to Germany). Secondly, being on a major road connecting the town to the autobahn and opposite a gas station, it was extremely noisy and our room unfortunately faced the main road. No air con and the furniture was a bit 60s and fairly worn out. It does have a fairly lively restaurant (didn't try it), free parking in the back and 5 minutes walk from one of the main gates of Rothenburg.
