Paying $50 a night was not bad; however, if you can spend a little more I would recommend staying somewhere else. The first room they gave my husband and I, had a horrible smell. It smell like a rat died in the room, it was terrible . We promptly asked for another room, and that too had a bad smell; although, not as bad as the fist one. The sheets were dirty, the bed was like a rock and the pillows had lumps in them. Did I mention the bug in the bed? Also, the motel (I wouldn't call this place nothing more than that) is besides a pub/club, and unless you stay on one of the rooms in the back, you will not sleep because of the noise and partying. The staff, however, was very nice and it is in a convenient location. In spite of that, we will not stay there ever again, and we are usually not that picky as long as we get a clean, decent room.

I was worried after reading some reviews, but this place turned out to be just fine. The front office staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, the bathrooms were very clean. The TV has every channel you could ever want. Short walk to Acapulco restaurant, and many other restaurants and a mall nearby. It is in a loud area, but everything near Blackstone is very loud at night on weekends, people are racing their cars up and down the street after the bars close, I suggest ear plugs if you are a light sleeper, my travel partner didn't notice any noise. Overall, good cheap place to stay and we'd stay there again.

I never stayed here, didn't get that far. Called to make reservation, the man was so RUDE! I simply asked if 17 and under stay free, he said "NO, NOT 17, UNDER 17. AND IT DEPENDS ON HOW MANY. PEOPLE COME HERE WITH 10 KIDS, THAT'S NOT ACCEPTABLE." I said I have 3, for a total of 5." He said, "NO, 5 ARE NOT ALLOWED, THERE ARE A MAXIMUM OF 4 PER ROOM, HOW OLD ARE THE CHILDREN?" I said, "Well, if only 4 are allowed, then what difference does it make how old are the children?" He needs to hire someone else to answer the phone!

Directly in front of the very small and very old Travelodge is an apparently very popular bar/club! The patrons loitered in the parking lot, which adjoins to the Travelodge lot, and were playing music and partying all night. The club itself was also loud with it's own techo beat music playing until 2am. Crowds of smokers were out front all night. It was so loud! Needless to say, we got very little sleep. Also, the surrounding neighborhood is not very desirable (putting it nicely) and people were wandering the streets at any given time. It is also located on a very busy "cruising strip" to the other side. Oh ~ and the pool was closed, not that it looked inviting anyway. And the continental breakfast consisted of a container of pastry looking things from the grocery store. It was all so bad that we left first thing in the morning and checked into a different hotel.

service was rude. followed around. couldnt talk to team makes in other rooms man kept coming and said no visiting. Vending machine and ice machine close at 10. room a mess. cream for coffee not refilled. sink wouldnt drain. very disappointed with everything. hotel needs a makeover!!!! family mainly father very very rude.
