Our family of four (incl two kids ages 12 & 4) stayed here one night one our way through Calgary. I booked it based on the price, availability and photos. As I drove up to the hotel, I could tell this place was in need of a major upgrade. As soon as you walk into the lobby, the odor of chlorine fills the air (because the indoor pool is right next door). We were able to get our room right away but when we entered the non-smoking room, it smelled like a smoker has just butted out and left. So we all went back down to the lobby and suprisingly, the front desk personnel were very helpful and apologetic and got us another upgraded room with no additional charge ($136 tax in)
Overall the hotel is very dated and not spotless. The tiny breakfast buffet was adequate but the dining room was so 70's. Anyways there are many other hotels in the Airport area and I would recommend staying at a newer one.

We stayed at this property on March 22 and 23 - and from the time we checked in until the time we left was the worst stay of any hotel we have stayed in.
I had booked this hotel a month before our arrival date as it was close to the airport and we were able to leave our car there while we went on holidays for 2 weeks.
When I booked the hotel I had requested a cot - when we arrived at 5 pm, no cot had been provided... no problem they would bring it up to the room. Upon entering the room, we were very dissapointed, room was very run down, walls are cracked, walls are black from markings of some sort, furniture very scratched and chairs stained,, baseboards with an inch of dust - they put us in a room with an adjoining door where we could hear every word of the next occupants - after being in the room for five minutes, I called to the desk and asked to have another room, without it being an adjoining room - this was accommodated.
The second room was quieter but still not as clean. We went out to dinner and visited family until 10 pm, when we got back tot he room, still no cot - I called down to the front desk and they had no idea where the cot was. I asked them if they could find it and bring it up - it took 4 more phone calls and another hour and a half to get it!! Absurd!! ( in total, it took 6 hours to get a cot)
In the morning I went and asked to speak with a manager - apparently there is no manager on duty on weekends?? I asked to be moved to another room, as this room was filthy - I asked that the housekeeper come with me so that I could show her the filth - she did and she agreed that the room was very dirty - the third room was better - and they moved the cot immediatley for us.
Upon check out in the morning I spoke with one of the agents and asked that when we arrive back in Calgary from our trip at 2 am that they ensure there is a cot in the room - she said for sure that the cot would be there.... well we arrived back to our hotel on April 7 at 2 am and no cot!!! the girl on the desk ( the same one our first night!!) looked at me, and pointed outside ( where the shuttle driver was) and said " if you hurry and grab that guy - he can get your cot for you" - I looked her straight in the eye and said " are you kidding me?" "You want me to run outside and grab that guy to get a cot that should have already been in the room?" - she looked at me and said " well I guess I could call him"
This room that we checked into was also disgusting - the sitting chair looked like someone had peed on it - walls again were filthy - there was somehting sprayed all over one wall and the ceiling - we just went to bed as it was so late.
When we checked out, I asked to speak to the manager - she was very nice, gave us a discount - gave me the email of the travelodge main offices. I told her that she really needs to go and look at these rooms.
We will never stay at another travelodge hotel of any kind -
I am a resort manager and I have never experienced such inefficiency and lack of understanding, or work ethic. I would be embarrassed to work at this porperty

This hotel is most definatly an older property, the rooms being quite small. But I found them to be very clean and I was quite comfortable. The front desk staff was awsome... even though she was very busy she made sure to explain things to me and point me in the direction of my room, and the resturant if I wanted to eat. The resturant staff was great as well, and the condition of the resturant wonderful very clean and inviting. The food was alright but the soup was amazing. An overall great stay with very friendly staff!

Spare yourself the disappointment. I am wishing I booked at the Comfort Inn across the street. This place is poorly maintained, the beds are old, the walls have cracks and patches. Shady characters hanging out in the lobby talking about shady things. They say they have a pool, don't be fooled, it is not much of a pool. And the high-speed internet is not so high-speed. Not much value for your money. For the money, you can do better in Calgary.

I stayed at this hotel for over a week while I was doing a course in the city.
The floor was visibly dirty when I got in and by the end of the week, it still had not been vacuumed. Crumbs and other food bits. Gross.
Something bit me almost everynight in bed. Most likely spiders, but it was most annoying.
The bathroom was extremely moldy. The shower was just a trickle and I had to crank it to get any warm water.
The toilet was not seated properly to the floor - I rocked back and forth as I sat there.
There is a pool and hot tub, but I didn't want to get in. There was hair and foamy stuff in the hot tub. No thanks.
There are so many other hotels and motels near the airport. I do not recommend this one.
