Nicely priced hotel especially since the area is such a tourist trap. The room was clean although the bathroom smelled like someone missed the mark a few times. The service was ok, but nothing extraordinary. The sad thing is we preferred hanging out at the hotel than our visit to Animal Kingdom. The best offering of the hotel is the location. It's in walking distance of numerous franchise restaurants like Denny's or Macaroni Grill. The hotel will also offer coupons to certain restaurants which actually turned out pretty good.
On a side note: if you are going to take advantage of the free shuttle to the theme parks, make sure you find out the departure times the night before or you will most likely miss them. We missed them and ended up using a rental car.

My husband and I planned an 11 day trip to Florida earlier this year. We do not have a great deal of extra money, so we needed to make the most of the money that we had budgeted for our trip. I did hours and hours of research via the internet checking out hotel review after hotel review trying to find a hotel that was clean, with a few amenities, and for a budget price. Of all of the hotels I read reviews on, this hotel seemed to be a good option at a great price. We only ended up staying 2 nights. These are the things that occured during our short stay. First, we paid extra money for a room with a pool view. Our view was of the laundromat/game room. The door was warped, and did not close properly, which is what allowed the little lizards into our room! Granted, they are not dangerous, but it is creepy to have little wiggly things running around on the floor. We have a 6 month old, 7 year old and 10 year old, so we have to get up in the night sometimes. Stepping on lizards, or having to put on shoes when you get out of bed is just not acceptable to me, no matter how inexpensive a hotel is. The pool scene was just plain gross. There was an orange peel and trash lying around, and the worst thing was that there were about 30 people(mostly teens) in the pool roughhousing, and one of them was bleeding from the mouth into the pool, not getting out! I realize that this is not the management's fault, but it was gross just the same. After leaving the pool, we saw a bunch of barbequed chicken bones lying on the ground! I thought, what a great way to attract bugs! When I took my children to the complimentary "breakfast", it consisted of a room about 15 feet by 15 feet that had literally 50-60 people in it all shoving past each other to get their food. The entire room was filled with smoke from the toaster. We went to the Waffle House next door. I went to talk to someone about our room conditions, and was told that there were no rooms available that we could switch to, and that the heat had warped the door, and that it was not a big deal. The next day, after I almost stepped on a lizard in the room I went to talk to the manager. She offered me another room, but did tell me that in Florida, those lizards get in everywhere. I find that hard to believe. The air-conditioner smelled musty, and we all woke up feeling like we had colds, complete with headaches. The manager also offered to take 10% off of the price of our room if we stayed! We did not want to stay. The hotel was really kind of gross. We didn't see any cockroaches, but there were little flies or gnats in our room. We ended up going to a different hotel for only 20 dollars more a night, and it was clean and a really nice hotel. I think some people embellish stories in reviews, and also expect too much from budget hotels sometimes. However, I am not one of those people. Travelodge did not do anything to me, and I am not out to get them. I just don't think that it is a relaxing place to stay, especially if you have children. I also think that it should be a lot cleaner. There should not be bones and fruit peelings left around the premises for people to step on. Also, if someone does go to the person at the desk with a valid complaint, such as not getting what you pay for, having lizards in the room, or a door that does not close properly, they should not be brushed off. That is not a good way to run a business where all revenue depends on satisfied consumers. If Travelodge needs to raise the price of their rooms a little bit to hire a groundskeeper, exterminator, get new air conditioners, buy some trash cans, or build a bigger breakfast room, it would be well worth it, because as it is now, I would be surprised if many people would return to this establishment a second time.

Disgusting room. Filthy unraveling carpet at door and at vanity area with exposed sharp carpet nail to cause an injury. Do not walk barefoot on the floor! Entire ceiling above shower peeling and falling down. Stained box springs with shredded corners. Other lesser room issues as well (rusty mirror, stained walls, stained vanity top, broken floor tile).
A cheap room that I would not stay in again.

We just returned from a school group trip to Disney World and could not have been more pleased with our stay at this Travelodge. It was located in a good area, only 15 minutes from the parks. The free shuttles ran on time and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Everyone was so nice and the housekeeping staff did a great job. Yes, the bathroom ceilings could be redone, but the tub and encloser itself were new and the showerhead wonderful. You just can't beat the price!
