During a long trip all around the west coast of the US, we spend a night in this place. Maybe we were fortunate, in comparison with other opinions posted here, but room assigned to us in the second floor was not bad. There are 2 room that are not in the ground level. Very big place with two queen size beds, with a clean bathroom and even a balcony. Even though it was around 40 ?C outside, the AC was powerful enough to keep a comfortable temperature inside. Recommendable if you are only passing by.

Not about the customer at all!

We made our reservations, with their 800 reservation number, WAY in advance of an event we were attending in June. One week before the event, I called to adjust the dates from a 3 night stay to a 2 night stay, and reconfirm the reservation. All seemed fine.
We knew, and were expecting, a lower budget property, but we did not expect the rude and combative manager we got when we arrived. It seems the 800 reservation line had NOT updated our reservation to reflect the adjustment to 2 nights, so the manager was quite angry that we had not shown up the night before we did. He had already charged us for one night and canceled our reservation. He told us he had NO room for us and told us to leave.
When our friends (who had checked in earlier that day) wanted to check out as well, he changed his tune and magically had plenty of rooms, but only after we agreed to pay 1/2 the room rate for the night we had missed.
His agreement was to credit us for 1/2 the cost of the night he had already charged us, but in the end, he jacked up the price of the 2 nights we did stay, and we ended up paying MORE!
The rooms were dirty, dark and dingy and ours had bugs. The microwave and small refrigerator were in the closet and were not working. The outside has a nice grass area, but we were so soured by the battle we had coming in, we found it hard to relax and enjoy our trip.

The grounds from the street are nice and enticing. Wish we could say the same about the room. The clerks in the afternoon and the next morning were not friendly at all, did not tell my husband and me that they have coffee and individually-wrapped Danish in the lobby for breakfast. The room had an old microwave and small fridge which was unplugged (useless). The bathroom had been remodeled so it looked okay. The carpet was old, and the furniture looked like it came from a thrift store. There is no way we will stay there again.

The motel is conveniently located near the downtown area. We were on the 2nd floor and our bathroom window had a nice view of a large football field and the 8'-9' tall rose bushes growing on the fence beside the pool. It was nice to be able to open the window since there was no vents in the bathroom. There was a wall-mounted hair-dryer. The walk-in shower was dark and there's no tub. Some of the thin towels were gray and some had black dirt.
Our room was quite big (big enough to fit a family of 6), but there was an "old building" smell to it. The entire room structure basically had a '50s-era feel. There was a large walk-in closet but the door was small so none of us wanted to walk in. We didn't even put our clothes in there. We had 2 double beds and both squeaked considerably loud each time we moved. I also got a dozen bug bites all over my arms. Needless to say, I don't plan on ever staying here again.
