This hotel is in a great location and is attached to a branch of Sanborn's restaurant which does really great breakfasts. It is also above a mini department store which is pretty handy. The beds were comfy but overall the place felt like it needed a deep clean. Hot water was a little erratic and air con didn't work. Wifi is not available in all rooms. Overall the experience was fine - just don't expect the lap of luxury

My boyfriend and I had a flight out of Aguascalientes early in the morning, so we stayed here the night before (we had been in Zacatecas for the weekend). We got the cheapest room (standard) for around US$80-90. The location was very central in the downtown area and the room was clean, but definitely no frills. It had central a/c which is pretty rare and very nice for Mexico standards, but other than that, the room was very basic. The view was bad and there was no bathtub, just a shower. Having said that, it was clean and central and a good place to stay if you just need to crash for the night. After being in beautiful Zacatecas for the weekend, we were a little disappointed when we first pulled into Aguascalientes, but after we got out and walked around a bit, we enjoyed the local culture and admired some of its handsome buildings and churches.

Really at the center of the town

I had to travel to Aguascalientes, Mexico to attend a technical meeting. First, we tried a reservation at the Hacienda de la Nuria, but it was totally booked. The meeting hosts suggested the Francia Calinda, and my opinion is related to the good price we got.
The hotel is well located at the historical city centre. And you can walk around in a secured environment. I had a rather large room with huge windows, and enjoyed my stay. However, it does not have a swimming pool, gym or other facilities. But, being at Aguascalientes downtown, you can get what you want walking some steps out of the hotel, and at a good price.
