This hotel has one thing in mind, lie to you to get you! The shower was cold and has mold in the grout, the AC did not work (they say they turn it off this time of year?, they hail a cab for you and charge twice what the cab should of cost. I would rate this hotel a 2 star at best. The only thing going for it is the location. Its no diffent than a dump in midtown Manhatten. I payed 110 US per night and would only stay here again if the price was less than half of that. Then I would be willing to absorb the 10 extra per day for wireless internet. The free internet room which you get 10 minutes per day consist of exactley 1 computer that sort of works and one that does not

Nice rooms that are neat and clean, supportive staff, excellent location. What else- NO AIRCONDITIONING FROM 9 PM to 10-11 AM. If you can survive it - fine, you win! I managed to get back home withought much problems though nights were rather unpleasant.
Breakfast is average. Restaurant is OK, but you can find much better places around.

arriving at Santiago, after loooong flight ffrom SFO via Dallas, I did not find room in my usual Hotel (Eurotel, excellent) they sent me over to T-mayor... deadtired. Was rudely received by fron-desk "manager", an arrogant, insolent and self-engrossed middle management individual. From there it went down hill every day. was MOVED 3 times in 4 days, always blaming me because I had not told them i was staying at least 3 days, which they didn`t even ask since eurotel asked for the room for the night, however I mentioned clearly "at least 3" when booking.
Rude statements re. paying with DEBIT card, because computers were all crashed, and ononon...
Only groups were handled with some respect. Restaurant, though, excellent morning buffet, all you can eat, and waiters all friendly (one told me hotel management keeps their tips, but I can`t vouch for that) Finally, they had no more rooms, I was happy to quit anyway, went to another where management and front desk were no different. I am 70 + and noticed that seniors are NOT welcome in that area of Santiago, which is VERY lovely, though. Going back via santiago to USA & China,,,, but NOT to any of the providencia hotels, except Eurotel, Guardia Vieja..
Make SURE you do the same.

Do not stay at this hotel unless you want cold shower, rude staff, safes that don't work, room keys that don't work, lost laundry. If you do choose to take the risk make sure you call to confirm your reservation. We read reviews on trip advisor and decided to check our reservation to be told we had 2 rooms for 7 people??? Work that out? We had booked 3 rooms. I travel a lot and I would never stay here again. The showers would only run hot early in the morning, if you wanted to take a shower in the evening it was tepid at best. There is no manager on sight and the staff seem to have no power or desire to do anything to compensate for any inconveniences. Our mini bar water was tap water in the water bottles.

We booked two rooms for one night on the 10th. March and again for two nights on 15/16th March 2007. On arrival on the 10th. we were told that only one room had been reserved even though we had letters to say otherwise, eventually after waiting for soem time a sedond room was found. We left the following morning and confirmed that we would be returning for two rooms on the 15th.
We duly returned on the 15th. onlt to be informed that we had not got any reservations for the two nights, after much discussion and free coffee tey found us two rooms; these rooms were very comfortable and included brand new sheets and towels which made us woner whether the rooms were ever used before.
Otherwise the hotel was comfortable and everyone was friendly Just don't trust them with advanced bookings.
