Great hotel! We stayed there from May 5 - 7, 2008. The location is great and is within walking distance of the city center and some wonderful restaurants. We highly recommend La Sal on Belgrano. One of the BEST restaurants on our trip.
Our room was super large iwth a kitchen, 2 sinks in the bathroom, well decorated and first class all the way, especially considering the price.
The front desk staff was very accommodating and very helpful in booking reservations, suggesting places to shop, bodegas to visit, etc. Breakfast was good, too.
Hotel also had an indoor parking garage which was helpful since we rented a car at the airport.

I have stayed at the Condor Suites on several occasions over the last three years and have found it to be consistently good. The suites are large, very comfortable, well air conditioned and immaculate. There is a small bar and restaurant in the lobby and free internet access.
Best of all it is within walking distance of 'La Barra" the ultimate Argentine barbeque restaurant.

Iwas referred to this hotel by the Hotel Argentino (as they were full up). We arrived in Mendoza at 9am, with a problem on our hands, and even though check-in was not till 3pm, the receptionist (Maria) went about helping us by getting us the appropriate phone numbers and dialing them for us. We have spent two nights here and found the place clean, staff very friendly and willing to please. If there is a problem in the room, they will get it fixed as soon as possible. The room was adequate it had a bedroom and a separate kitchenette with table area and futon for one (maybe 2 small kids). The bathroom had a glass separator for the shower area, which was a little inconvenient to get around; the shower worked better when it was handheld (water was warmer). Wireless internet was weak in my room, but good reception downstairs, able to use the breakfast table. I believe that they were working on this. They have one computer for guest use, which seemed to be constantly in use.
Breakfast was delicious. There is a supermarket (Carrefour) less than 2 blocks away, and it is a nice, very short walk to/from the downtown area, the entrance to Cerro de la Gloria. The area is quiet without a lot of bustling traffic, which one would get one block over and one block down. At Arg$280 a night (including parking), I feel that this is adequate. You maybe able to get a discount if you do not have a car. It's website is rather weak and but it does give you enough information. I would highly recommend it. Also, there are a lot of foreigners staying here, not only neighbouring Chileans, but Germans, and other English speaking tourists.
