Bedrooms may not have emergency lighting. During a short power cut, there was no evidence of emergency lighting in the rooms. Could be a problem at night if you have to find your way out of a unfamiliar room.
Breakfast is slow, late, staff not aware of international visitor requirements,
Sink and bath pop-up plugs in our room let out as much water as from the tap. Had to keep running water to wash, shave, bath etc.
NO FREE INTERNET!! 55DH / 30 minutes is a rip off for a modern hotel. especially when internet cafes are charging 5DH for an hour. Should provide free internet or at least the first 30 mins each day FOC.
First bottle of water is free, then you have to pay. Most hotels I have been in, give 1 or 2 bottles free every day.
NO kettle/tea/coffee for that important pick me up after returning from a hard days touring. I have no wish to buy tea/coffee from the bar at inflated prices just to provide a revenue stream.
Sunday night is their noisiest night. Was woken up by music/drums on three nights, between 02:00 and 04:00. Not good when settling down in an unfamiliar bed etc.
Belly dancer at 21:00 in dinning room, but there is no information or flash advertising on the menu to let potential diners know.
Hotel manager was made aware of all these points and admitted there were problems.
ATM in French and Arabic language, whilst ATMs in Medina are multi language.
Very few people around, Hotel will probably go bust if it doesn't buck it's ideas up on customer service.
Not recommended.

Very nice looking hotel, but very poor service, THIS IS NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL. A grand reception area, morrocan in style, nice standard rooms, poor bathrooms ( the shower leaks ). The hotel seems quite even when full up, We were the only customers in the bar at any time over a 5 day stay, very poor service. 35 mins for a glass of wine, and no bottle opener.
Reception staff very nice, but facilities poor, no cashing service, no pens, no local guide info, no in house car service.
The restaurants never had any customers, 3 were open only ever saw a maximum of 2 tables being used, except for poolside braekfast, which was reasonable. The various musicians all looked understandably bored, the bar musician was asleep on a sun lounger, and was woken to play for us.
Very poor business services, rip-off internet.
Basically no sign of any caring management, although some very nice staff (thanks Amal) . BUT WE LOVED MARRAKECH go there but stay somewhere else.

The level of disservice in this would-be-5-star hotel was simply astonishing. The ladies at the reception were totally disinterested in their customers and their rooms were not ready for us until the late afternoon. In the evening we wanted to try their restaurant, alas, although it was prime time no waiter showed up (or would have been visible at all) and after 15 minutes in bewilderment we decided to move on. (And no, the place was not closed, there were even musicians playing ...) Their business center (= 1 PC with internet connection) is obviously a joke, but overpriced. At the pool there were no towels available and no chairs ... remember, 5 stars - and we even booked the best category of room. Only the physical structure of the hotel was adequate, but that's just not enough. Morocco is a great country with lovely people and great hospitaly which we'll visit soon again, but we recommend urgently to stay away from this hotel, which is just the opposite of the aforementioned qualities.
