We stayed here for 3 nights during late May and found the hotel ok but certainly no 5* hotel as advertised. It used to be owned by the Sheraton and is now part of the Royal Mirage group of hotels in Morocco and is really just a good 3* hotel. There's nothing wrong with the hotel as such - it's just very boring. We had a nice room which was a good size, although the bathroom was typically small. Reception were helpful and could speak a good level of English. The swimming pool area is actually nicer than the photos on the hotel website show, although the water was absolutely freezing cold and also got very deep very quickly and may not be best for young kids. However there is no atmosphere anywhere in the hotel and there's horribly boring "elevator music" being pumped out over the pool area. I'd rather it was quiet! The main thing about this hotel however is that it is aimed at large French tour groups, rather than individuals, and in the evening they pour into the hotel one group after another. We had half-board as part of the room rate and the dinner is in a large buffet dining area - which is therefore full of the tour groups. Dinner was ok - nothing great and not many options. Breakfast the same - again aimed at the French so lots of croissants and pastries. We mainly stayed here because we got it at a great price - ?52 per night half board. It's in an ok location and is a 5 minute taxi ride to the medina. I'd recommend it to anyone not wanting to fork out top dosh on the overpriced riads in the medina.
