We recently spent two nights at the Alamo Inn, the whole
experience was deliteful . It is located in an older part
of town, but we felt completely safe and had no problems
at all. The room was clean and comfortable. After spending a long day on the Riverwalk and a visit to the Alamo , returning to
a nice cool room was great !!
I think families need to know that there is no pool and no place nearby to walk to for food or entertainment. They do offer a free shuttle which worked out perfeclty for us !!!
We found the management very helpful and extremely friendly.

I recently stayed at th Alamo Inn Motel while on my business trip in San Antonio. I loved my experience the entire time I was there!! The rooms are newly remodeled, each with a fridge and microwave. there is a FREE SHUTTLE that runs on the hour. The best part was it is located only a mile from Downtown San Antonio, which made it a quiet location as well as one that is easily accessible to the Riverwalk (which I love, by the way). YOU'RE DOING A GREAT JOB, ERIC !!!

My sister in law and I met up in San Antonio on the same day for a weeks vacation in San Antonio. She from Wisconsin and me from California. We were picked up at different times at the airport by Rick the owner of the Alamo Inn who was always available for us when we needed a ride to The Riverwalk, St. Josephs Church on Sunday morning, The Alamo and also out to the Botanical Gardens which was out of his way. The shuttle runs hourly so that worked out well. Both he and his wife were very helpful and so friendly. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. Having the micro wave and small refrigerator was helpful. A car would have been nice to have for at least one or two days, even with the hourly shuttle as we would have liked to have gone to New Braunfells to look around and the only transportation there would have meant being at the bus station by 6:30 a.m. Over all it was a great experience and a big thank you to Rick and his wife. I highly recommend a stay at the Alamo Inn.

I just spent two nights at the Alamo Inn and had a very enjoyable time. Kudos to the owner for driving to the airport twice to pick me up after a slight miscommunication that was probably my fault. Although the Inn is old, my room was good sized, very clean with lots of towels. And the owner was great for giving me information on the city and getting around. There's a one dollar bus that drops you off right downtown and the walk isn't too bad in the daytime. I wouldn't suggest it at night though. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

We only expected to stay 2 nights. Room 15 was clean, and bed was very comfortable. The owner shuttled us to downtown area and gave us a great map. My husband had an unexpected illness and ended up hospitalized in San Antonio for 11 days. We had never been to San Antonio and had no friends or family. Rick, the owner of the motel assisted me with travel arrangements, always had a room available when I needed it and even brought a plant to my husbands room in the hospital. He treated us like friends even though we had only stayed at his motel one night when this emergency happened. He also let us leave our vehicle on his property to be picked up by the car hauler (since we had to fly home to California). His kindness, honesty, and professional service were amazing. We hope to return some day and will stay at the Alamo Inn.
